Mixed emotions
Hey guys, I’m really struggling with my emotions atm. I recently found out I’m pregnant with baby number 3, and don’t get me wrong, I am so happy to be welcoming another baby… I just didn’t think it would happen so soon, as it took us 2 years to conceive both of our other children (this time literally took a couple of months).
I can’t help but feel so disheartened that I can’t fully join in on the events we had/ have planned. My best friend has asked me to join her for some drinks for the past 3 weekends and I’ve had to think of an excuse each time to say no.
I know that this probably sounds so stupid, and might come across ungrateful for the life I’m creating (which I can assure you is not the case), but I absolutely love to socialise and adore the occasional night out… and I feel so guilty for feeling this way!!! My husband is about to head out for some drinks, and I can’t help but feel so jealous of him! I don’t remember feeling this way with either of my previous pregnancies, so I’m hoping I’m not the only one here that’s struggling with this? 🥺
Marrital advice!
Hello! I need some advice on how to handle this situation. My husband and I (mostly me) are upset because we’re not seeing eye to eye on home stuff. He is being opinionated about home decor and furniture, which is fine as long as we come to an agreement, which we have. Here’s the current issue: I am very much like “no purpose-don’t want it”, so I am constantly cleaning out the closets, donating stuff and being intentional to not create clutter and accumulate stuff we don’t need. He is the opposite. He likes extravagant furniture and likes to have a lot of things that we don’t need. Like he accepted shoes for our son that are definitely too small, which he knew before taking them. He also accepted a TV from his mom that we don’t need. We already have 2 and barely use those. My fear with that is that he will put it in his game room and then spend more time there instead of with his family. He also likes to keep screws for the TV that we don’t need. I tell him that we can afford to buy screws when we need them. Anyways, idk how to handle this without making him feel bad. We just downsized from a house to an apartment, for context, and we had to repurchase a lot of furniture and reorganize lots of things in the process. Any advice welcome! 🙏
