Im curious

So I just watched a video of kids being reunited with their dad after several months apart due to being in the army. 😭 it's so heartbreaking.

And I have a genuine curiosity....

I've never understood why any one would want to join the army voluntarily.

I also don't understand how they can stay when they have kids.

Also the wives, how do they manage all the emotions and emptyness that comes with it.

I honestly think if a partner ever wanted to join the army I would have to leave him. I would never want to go through that or put my kids through that.

I had 2 school friends who joined. 1 left because he didn't like it. The other seems to be in a mentally dark space now.

But guestion:

Why do you think so many join the army????

Well one compelling reason to join service is to have housing provided for your family. Another reason is to have your further education paid for. There are a lot of benefits that come with those sacrifices.

Trying for Baby No 2

We have an 18m old with our last 2 frozen embryos in storage and think we have decided to try again.

We were a long time TTC and our first baby was via our 3rd transfer so I was trying lots of different things, acupuncture, no caffeine/alcohol/perfume, eco friendly brands, drinking bone broth etc!

Our doctor has suggested the same meds which is natural cycle plus progesterone, but with a toddler on the run I don’t know if I’ve got the headspace or energy to do all the “extra stuff” and if any of that helped anyway?

I feel more relaxed this time but also want to give it the best shot so feel like I need to prepare.

Anyone else been in a similar position?

Hypothetically...baby one conceived naturally, would you go through IVF for number 2 ???

1st baby took 9 months to conceive but we've been trying for number 2 for a few months. Know it can take up to a year. Just wondered if anyone would put their body's through IVF to have a 2nd baby, plus the thousands of £££ of cost as NHS wouldn't cover
