Not crawling yet

My baby has been trying to crawl for nearly 3 months now, still nothing.
I know this is totally normal but mums on here just seem to brag about how their babies are early at everything, kinda rubs it in🥴🥱
Anyone else have a non crawling 8mo??

I don’t think moms are bragging about their babies crawling, they are just excited about their baby doing things.
We’re 9 months on Sunday and no crawling or pulling up. Likes to be on feet a lot and rolls everywhere to get where she wants to be x

My baby is 9 months next week and only started yesterday sniper crawling. He rocks on his knees but hasn't sussed the crawling on his knees yet. They'll get there :)

It’s completely normal for a 9 month old to not be crawling. My daughter is 9 months in a couple of days and is nowhere near ready!

My eldest didn’t crawl till she turned 1 and the health visitors didn’t seem phased. My youngest has turned 8 months and still can’t. I wouldn’t stress x

Our baby boy still doesn’t crawl. He’s so keen to but just doesn’t seem to have the strength in his legs yet! I feel the same, it’s quite deflating when you see other mums saying their babies can do everything! But don’t worry, every baby goes at their own pace! My friends little girl turned 1 recently and has never crawled! Instead has gone straight to walking 🩷

Stopping sterilising

My son is almost 5 months and has just started solid foods (I know it’s early but we were having problems with CMPA and trapped gas so it seemed like the best way to help him) I don’t sterilise his spoons, bowls and plates, they just get washed with hot soapy water. Can I stop sterilising his bottles too? Or should I be sterilising his plates and things? He goes swimming every week and ends up with pool water in his mouth and is constantly putting toys and his hands in his mouth it just seems pointless to me🤷🏻‍♀️ when did everyone else stop?

Hair pulling

My 8 month old is obsessed with my hair at the minute. He's so fascinated by it and loved grabbing to put towards his mouth or even just play with in his hands, the issue is he ends up pulling it and boy do these babies have strong grip. I'm already going through crazy hair loss and him pulling my hair out is making it worse, any tips? :(((

This feeling

I might come off as ungrateful or like im not cut out for motherhood with this one but why don't we warn each other beforehand about this emotional situation? I wish someone had briefed me about how someday i'll be watching my son sleep and ill break down crying because of how intense the feeling of admiration is, and how love this big is heavy and feels a little too much like grief. it would have been nice to know that i would be so consumed with this love that has nowhere to go. there's no little pamphlet explaining how "you'll never know another love like it" genuinely means that it will overflow from you and your child and there will be nowhere else for it to go, and it will feel so intense and like too much but in the most beautiful way.
anyway, i think we should try and find a better way to articulate just how intense that feeling can be, so other new moms don't feel insane when they join the club

Is anyone feeling done?

Im a first time mom and everytime my almost 2 week old cries its either because shes needing a diaper change or she wants my touch I havent slept in 48 hours because if this im at my wits end call me selfish but im just done when I have no help no partner and no family to speak of anyone else just tired of it? And yes if there are rude comments I can take it because maybe its a reality check

Sterilising the calpol syringe

Hi guys, my little one has his jabs this morning. I only have an electric steam steriliser and I’ve just googled and it said you shouldn’t sterilise the syringe that way. Have people been sterilising them? And have the sterilised them in the steam steriliser???

Why are there so many asshole white older male drivers in the UK?

I’m waiting with a pram at a zebra crossing and the cars stop in both directions. I thank the car on the right as I cross, then I thank the van on the left. About midway the van starts to creep forward so he gets very close to us as we finish crossing. I look behind and he rolls down his window to swear at me for not thanking him for letting me cross. Maybe he didn’t see me thank him but that doesn’t make it excusable to try and intimidate and then harass someone, especially when they’re with a baby! Why does this happen so often? Pedestrians have right of way in this situation, it just pisses me off that people like this exist.
