Keep trying or leave it

When pregnant with my now 10 month old a friend of mine was pregnant but 3 months behind me . She ended up having a late miscarriage or I’m not sure is it classified as stillborn . She was approx 21 weeks ( anatomy scan ) and had announced it to everyone . We don’t live too close so sympathising was though a brief phone call and messages . Since this she has not connected with me . It’s been over a year . I have messaged her 4-5 times since her miscarriage and I’ve left space between the messages and left them open to reply to or let her know she can take more time . However she either likes the message ( just once ) or reads and ignores it . I sent one last week which was left on read . I just tell her how much I miss her and that she’s always on my mind . I never mention my baby . Do I just leave it at this point . I know it was a difficult time for her and she went ghost for awhile . We had been excited to raise babies close in age . Any advice ? She was a good friend not a best friend but I would see her a few times a year and text often and we were both married which is something not many of my other friends related to .

She's grieving, and you have everything that she lost.
Your life reminds her of the hopes and dreams that she had, and it probably hurts her to see you.
This is not your fault, and it's not her fault. Sometimes, it's just the way life is.
Send a message to her saying that you love her and that you understand if staying friends with you is too difficult after her loss, but that she will always be in your thoughts and you hope that one day you will be able to reconnect.

I would just leave it for now and wait for her to message you. She is grieving as you basically have what she has lost so talking to you might be really hard for her. Don’t take it personally as everyone grieves differently.

I lost my first baby very early on but I barely spoke a word to anyone the first couple of weeks apart from my partner and his parents x

Kit days

I’m just curious to see what everyone else has done. I’m due to go back to work on the 1st September, when the funded hours are available. But the closer I get to returning, the less I want to do my kit days. My job is stressful enough, and they’ve even tried to get me to work more kit days for this reason. I’ve spoken to people that started them, then didn’t do the rest because they realised they would rather spend time at home. Then others have said it’s helped them get a routine (as such).
So just curious to see what others have done/are doing 🙂

What was your elective section experience

I'm honestly terrified of going overdue! I don't want an induction or a c section! But 25% of inductions end in section so I would rather bypass all that pain...

Can you share your stories? How was baby and how was your recovery?

Birth debrief/reflection tomorrow

Got my birth debrief tomorrow with the mental health specialist midwife. I have a couple of ideas of what I want to discuss but to make sure I don’t miss anything/waste the opportunity:

What questions did you ask?
What questions did you wish you asked?

Is this normal?

I’m 33+4W and my stomach feels really tight, I have sharp pains in my pelvis when I sit down or go to pee, and I keep getting cramps low down. I’m struggling to sleep at night because of how uncomfortable my stomach feels too. Is this normal at this time?
