Any advice on how to respond to an almost 1 year old who has become very frustrated and started biting herself/ me the last few days... I'm not sure if it is frustration about not being able to communicate as she does seem to be making more attempts to communicate through pointing and noises?
For example she was in the bathroom and kept trying to get the bath toys/ pointing at the bath I took her out if there and put her in her playpen and she kept pointing to the bathroom and was very annoyed when I was saying "we can go in the bath later" etc. (I don't think she understood anything other than the word bath) which was making her more upset... then she started putting her head down and screaming to herself and then bit me really hard on the collarbone when I picked her up.
What do we do at this age especially to stop some behaviours like biting? She was also pulling at the skin on her legs while frustrated?
