Husbands Worries

Hi, we’re due baby boy in October, due to a few different things, I’ll be getting an elective c section. I’m actually really happy and content with my decision, I totally feel it’s the right thing for me.

My husband is very supportive of my choices, but he’s very nervous (understandably) he says he’s worried about me, baby and anything going wrong etc.

I’ve said to him that everything would be okay, but I don’t know what else to really say to put his mind at ease? Anyone have any advice that I could give him?

I had an elective c-section in April and it went soooo smoothly and had a great experience!
My husband was also the same and had some worries about me and baby, but what I would remind him is:
- the surgeons do these procedures multiple times a day
- there is about 10 people in the room at once to make sure everything goes smoothly
- there is someone sat by you though the whole procedure to make sure you’re comfortable and can let you know what’s happening step by step if you need that reassurance
- your husband will be allowed in the room with you
- most of the time, if there is a slight complication, the surgeons would’ve fixed the issue before you’re even aware of anything. They know what to expect, good or bad!
- you will meet the surgeon before you even walk into the room, so please take this opportunity to ask any questions!

Natural!!

39 weeks tomorrow and i really wanna go into labour naturally without being induced!!! They say the pain is twice as much as naturally going into birth :(

Baby Girl due soon!

We are due our first girl this month and still don’t have a name! We have two boys- Harrison and Louis. We can’t have any flower names because of our surname. Please hit me with suggestions!!!

TMI After Baby no.2

This is embarrassing but have any other mammas after 2nd baby had anything similar to this?

Basically since having my second baby I cannot wear any light coloured underwear because I end up with 💩 stains on them. Even if I’ve not gone no.2 that day or whether I’ve thoroughly wiped after it seems like no matter what I do I end up with small stains on my undies. It’s not like I’ve pooped myself or anything but it’s as if I’ve not wiped properly even when I know I have/ haven’t even pooped.

This has never happened to me before and it’s so embarrassing trying to be intimate or feel comfortable in myself.

Should I maybe go to Drs?

I’m 8 months pp and it’s been happening since I gave birth for reference.

Chasing up booking appointment

Heyyy I’m thinking about trying to ring to chase up my booking appointment but have no idea who I need to get into contact with. I did my self referral to county hospital stafford if that’s any help

Pushing with epidural

I’m considering if I will have or not an epidural in my labour, but I’ve heard so many mixed info of pushing phase with it. Could those who had an epidural during labour tell me how it went? Even if your epidural was running out or given just before pushing.

Prodromal/false labour

Has anyone else experienced this? I swear i was going into labour yesterday, intense back pains, contractions/tightenings then nothing and the pain stopped, slept last night. No losing my mucous plug or waters breaking then the same again today around 10am.
