I am heartbroken. My partner or 8 years has left me and I am currently on maternity leave with no income; with a 7 month old and a 2 year old.
My house is mortgaged, and I can’t afford the bills even when I do return to work. My heart is breaking for my kids.
Has anyone been through this? Do you have any advice?

Im sorry you're going through this.
I havent done this or been through this. But my advice would be go to council with proof you cant afford your mortgage and basic needs for you and your kids alone. As you can class yourself as homeless. Theyll help you. You may have to stay in a woman and children unit for them to house you somewhere else but remember you only have to sleep there. If you make a point youre homeless with children they will have to find you somewhere while they assess things. Get it done sooner than later.
I hope you find a way to be okay

Hi hun, I broke up with my partner too and I am sorry you are going through this. Firstly, if you haven't already make a claim with universal credits- the council no longer help with mortgages but they can assist with a loan to help cover payments. Its also advisable to have a discussion with the mortgage company to see what other help is available to you.
I would also advise using (Turn to us type into Google)- you maybe entitled to a grant - and you can also use the benefits calculator.
