My 12 mo has been constantly shoving his fist in his mouth to the point it makes him gag, but he doesn't stop. He's usually putting 3 if not all four fingers down his throat, we try distracting, telling him no etc but he doesn't stop, I think in fact it's fun for him. But it's just strange and we couldn't see this anywhere across reliable resources as being something normal babies do, so is this cause of concern? Does it happen to anyone else?

Bring it up to the pediatrician if it’s something he does every day. :) could be that he’s just discovering his body reflexes or you can just talk to the dr to outrule concerns

My little been doing this for months, ive realised she enjoys the sensation, she does it with her hand and any food or chew toy thats longs enough but she’d wake doesn’t stop so I just keep an eye on her and stop her if it’s getting too much 😵💫
