Hi everyone! I’m looking for some advice on breastfeeding in public. At the moment, I can only comfortably breastfeed my baby at home using two pillows — one to support his body and another to support his head. He also doesn’t really like the cradle hold, and I’ve tried the koala position but it hasn’t worked for us so far.
I’d really like to be able to breastfeed when we’re out, but I’m struggling to find a position that works without all the pillow support. Has anyone been in a similar situation or found a position that worked well for their baby? I’d really appreciate any tips! ❤️

Hi Monica!! I used to use my footrest to raise my knees so my lap supports the baby weight. Also, have you tried a baby carrier for nursing?

Could you try an inflatable pillow? Bit of a faff but might help

I used to take my boppy breastfeeding pillow everywhere with me 😂 it fit in the bottom of my stroller and I would just use it shamelessly in public. I’m totally with you idk how some women look so effortless breastfeeding with no support for baby!

I used to just cross one leg over the other, rest my arm on my knee and then tuck a jumper or a scarf under my elbow for a bit of height. I would also grab a scatter cushion if I were in a cafe or something. At home we had a much more relaxed setup, but when you’re out and about you just do what you can to make yourself comfortable and hope for the best! 😂

Yes! Also there is an app but someone reply to this comment and I’ll remember to post the app that finds any nursing pods near you as well. Not really popular where I’m from but they do still exist. I was surprised.
But the ladies have great advice with the stool or propping your feet up on something. If you’re out and can only feed comfortable on one side you could try pumping or hand pumping the other side for relief and to keep your supply normal on both sides but some usually will always favor one boob vs the other so be careful with that as well! Even though it’s almost impossible because my left boobie looks like it’s been through a war while my right looks amazing in the morning 😂 🤦♀️
Def baby carrier to help with the weight when out in public but something I get asked about EVERY SINGLE TIME I am out which I’m sure you’ve heard of them but i literally waited for a sale. They will probably do end of summer sale or I might have a code for you if interested but I can always

I just bust it will holding him. I find if I lift a crop top shirt up with a nursing
Bra, and hold him in both arms him laying basically across me it works great. He loves being rocked during feeds, so i walk around and he just chills and feeds

Blanket ❤️❤️❤️
