Constipation

Hi all my little girl is a month old today. She is combination fed,
Has not been pooing as much. Sometimes can go 2 days without pooing.
Has been drinking plenty and having plenty of wet nappies.
Any advice on this? Is it worth highlighting to Gp or health visitor for some advice?
Thanks in advance 🙂

My girlie is the same and is 4 weeks old tomorrow and I combi feed her. I give her a bottle of breast milk only every evening and she goes shortly after x

I would focus on her symptoms instead of how many days shes not pooping. Does she sleep well and does it look like shes straining to poop but nothing comes out. It would be constipation if shes trying to poop but cries and nothing comes out or cries alot from pain. when she poops is it soft and mushy or hard. Some children dont poop everyday my toddler doesn't poop everyday

Definitely worth asking the pediatrician because they can check her stomach and feel for any hard stool

Has she been restless with it? My little girl is 4 weeks and the other day we could not get her to settle just screaming crying, she hadn’t pooped in like 2 days. Bought the Frida baby gas passer, was reluctant to use it at first but she filled 3 nappies within 20 minutes 🙈 but she’s not pooed again all day today but she seems fine… if she seems in distress deffo buy that frida baby gas passer it really does clear them out

I was always advised by health visitor that the GP wouldn’t do anything until it had been approx 7 days without a poo, unless he was really uncomfortable and showing symptoms of it 😩

Mastitis?

I’m almost 4 weeks postpartum, I exclusively breastfeed and haven’t had any issues, when my milk first came in I had some engorgement and soreness, lumps just from the fullness but once the milk regulated we’ve been fine feeding and my boobs have been more soft not been getting hard or lumpy. Today they have been lumpy and very sore to touch and I don’t know why

Why do non-mums not understand us ?

So my friend texted me and I was quite busy with my kid and my niece and nephews they were crying, etc. Just a lot was happening, I was overstimulated and hardly on my phone. I called her, she didn’t answer twice. Long story short, I didn’t reply to her messages in time, and then she texted me at around 2am saying “I’m just not gonna contact you anymore atp”.

What I find quite distasteful, really. Like my time isn’t my own anymore? I reply or call as much as I can, but I just feel like she doesn’t get it or see that I’m trying to balance motherhood and being that same girl I was before pregnancy but In actual fact I’m not I don’t have that free time I use to have. And I really don’t like the guilt she’s trying to make me feel. My child will ALWAYS come first, especially when they are distressed.

It feels like most of the friends I have aren’t really my friends anymore, they’ve really distanced themselves. Motherhood can get so lonely at times 😔

Would any other mums like to connect? Just chat about these experiences, vent, or even meet up for a coffee or let’s be honest, something stronger! 😂 I’m from Essex, UK ❤️

Wheelchair user space on public transport. Who has the right? Mum and baby already on board or person using a wheelchair?

I have 3 month old triplets and I am going to have to use public transport next week for a short journey (thankfully it’s only about 10 minutes). I will be taking my double pram and baby wearing one of them. I will not be able to hold all three of them safely and collapse my pram if a wheelchair user comes on board.

Will I have to get off the bus? Will they ask the wheelchair user to wait for the next bus?

For context, am happy to get off the bus if needs be. I just want some knowledge beforehand and any experiences that people have had with this.

Speech

At what age did your sons speech really come on? My 1.5 year old can probably say about 8 words but I’m wondering when he’ll be in full flow talking like is it just going to happen overnight?

Travel pram recommendations

Hey ladies. Please give me travel pram recommendations. I've heard of Bugaboo butterfly and Joolz Aer 2(is that right?). Not actually travelling until December but want something to take baby boy in from when he starts nursery in September anyway.
