Getting called “big , massive & huge”

Hello lovlies , my best friend has been calling me massive since about week 17 and it’s not bothered me as it’s been to me but on Saturday we were at her engagement party and afew of her friends came up to me saying “ wow your not as big as I thought “ . I asked my friend if she was telling them I’m big and she said “ yeh Ahhaha I’m like Beth’s huge , I think you are “
She then followed by saying “I tell everyone your big lol “ I’ve been feeling very self conscious as I’ve already gained 3 stone and I do feel big and ugly and not like myself at all .
Has anyone else experienced this and found it hurtful or am I being sensitive?
Photo of me from her party on Saturday it’s my first pregnancy also if that makes a difference xx

You look absolutely incredible. Anyone who says otherwise is either jealous or blind. Keep glowing girl, you’re doing amazing 🩷

I've been called that my whole life so I do get it its very hurtful I just ignored it but never had a friend tell me that which means shes not really a friend and being pregnant ive discovered intensifies the feeling like your ugly and fat which you are not your gorgeous

Firstly I think you look incredible!! I wish I could look that good being pregnant 😅I’m almost 27 weeks with my second and I’ve also been getting the big comments since around 18 weeks. From my family and my partners and it does hurt, I’ve been told it’s “normal” for people to comment on the size of your body when you’re pregnant but I don’t think that’s normal at all. You’re completely valid in how you feel about it, but I think you look amazing 🩷

Big truly is beautiful when you’re growing a little babe! 🤍 It’s their home and everyone wants the biggest house on the street, after all 😂
That said, your friend does sound really insensitive, especially knowing you’re already feeling self-conscious. I’d definitely tell her how her comments are making you feel. If I told my best friend I was feeling insecure or low and that something she was saying was adding to those insecurities, she’d be absolutely mortified. Our besties are supposed to build us up, not make us feel worse about ourselves.
Hopefully, once you explain how it’s made you feel, she’ll understand and stop. And if she doesn’t… then girl, bye 👋
Lastly, I completely second the comments above; you look absolutely fantastic, and that is such a beautiful baby bump! 🥰 Please don’t let anyone make you feel otherwise. ❤️‍🩹

Let her know that while you are always fine to joke with her, to find out she wasnt joking and then stating that to other people ....was really hurtful.

You look so beautiful BTW and youre not "huge". Shes wack for that.

You look beautiful, your growing a baby! She sounds insensitive.

You look great! I had the opposite because I'm bigger already and have had a baby before people haven't really noticed that I'm pregnant which for me is sad because I only have 11 weeks left to grow "big" I guess 😂

Everyone says i am huge and I think my belly is barely noticeable! I wish I would have belly as yours lol xx

anyone who’s had their baby…

do you miss being pregnant? I had my baby girl earlier this week and I was getting fed up and so uncomfortable and was glad that I was being induced but today is her due date and I honestly wish I could go back and not rush, she’ll be my last baby and I feel like I didn’t appreciate being pregnant enough😭

How are we all feeling rn

I'm pregnant with baby no.2, my first turns 2 in September and I'm due with no.2 on October 10th. I'm at the point where I'd genuinely rather go through labour back to back 20 times over than do this last stretch of pregnancy 😭😂 anyone else feeling this way??

Possible irritable uterus and pre term labor at 33 weeks

Does anyone is suffering from this ?

I went to the hospital as I felt a stronger pain than usual. I have been dealing with a lot of braxton hicks (a lot) which are uncomfortable not painful and cramps. I have been talking with midwifes which all they say it's normal to keep doing my tasks etc. But I have a toddler and I think it was too much what I was doing. Because now after going to triage they kept me for 24hrs did CTGs to monitor baby, we do see contractions on the monitor but they are painless most of the time and baby seems happy still.
But I have been kept monitorized for the next days and the pre term labor tests they did all seem fine and they told me for 7 days birth is unlikely.
After this I have been feeling quite down emotional and just want to cry. But I am hopeful and I know if it needs to be born it will be alright.
Anyone in the same or similar situation ?
