Feeling super deflated after my midwife appointment today. I’m 38 weeks and my first was a planned caesarean as baby was breech. My midwife said she ‘cannot’ book an induction until 41 weeks and that we’ll try a sweep at 40 weeks. I just want baby here now! I’m so worried about having another c section as that’s the last thing I’d want. Any tips on starting labour?!! Baby is currently 4/5 engaged.
Thanks!

I honestly would try and avoid an induction for as long as physically possible unless medically necessary for your biggest chance of a successful VBAC. Once inductions and interventions happen it can lower your chance of a successful VBAC and the risk of uterine rupture increases which will be why your midwife won’t want to induce you until 41 weeks.
I’m 38+4 and know exactly how you feel! I’ve tried to make plans most days to hopefully make the days go quicker!

Everything Georgia said! I’m also aiming for a VBAC I’ve been walking daily for 50-60mins, on days I haven’t been able to I’m doing the miles circuit. Trying to stay upright on my yoga ball but I am also prioritising rest, listening to podcasts about post dates and meditating here and there
