Coil fitted during planned section

Has anyone had experience of having a coil put in during a planned c section? Any pros or cons I should know about? I've never had a coil before

I didn’t think you could get the coil put in during a c section

I had the copper coil fitted during mine 2.5 years ago. My periods have been a lot heavier ever since. But not sure if that’s from the coil or just pregnancy as I know a few people whose periods became heavy after pregnancy with no coil. They’re manageable though. I opted for the copper as hormonal contraception doesn’t agree with me at all xx

I’ve had a copper coil before (pre-pregnancy) and found it fine, my periods weren’t actually any different really but it did slip down into my cervix and then caused discomfort and I could feel it there
so had to be removed. Other than that, whilst it was in, it was fine

Didn’t realise you could have it fitted during a c-section to be honest. I was going to get the copper coil when I have my smear test once I have the all clear pp.

Can’t figure out what’s going on…

I think I’m looking for a line that isn’t there. I only tested as I’m ?13DPO and no sign of period yet (usually would have started by now as very regular).

I have been experiencing painful tugging and shooting pains and a strong dull very down low in my abdomen/vaginal area for around 3 days pretty constantly, which I don’t usually experience before a period until I’m physically bleeding.

I’m worried the pains I’m experiencing might be due to something else such as infection etc but I just don’t know.
Any thoughts or anyone experienced the same??
Thanks!

GP notes

From this I’m taking it as I’m at risk of having type 2, but it says normal no further action at the top of the report ?

Do we think this name is a bit too common?

When I was pregnant with my son, Margot was up there as one of the girls names we both liked but I can’t work out if it’s too popular/obvious. (We live in SW London for reference)

Husband away on stag do 36 weeks +1,2&3

Booked ages ago but now starting to feel a bit concerned.
He’ll be about 2 / 3 hrs drive away and also, probably going to be drinking a bit given it’s a stag do.
He is the best man for the wedding and so organised the event.
Our first little girl was born in just over 2 hours of active labour but not until 39 weeks.

Think it’s okay or shall we be cautious and cancel? Obviously not cancel for others, just him.

I know there is no way of knowing but interested in what others would do / say in this situation.
