Nappies

So i am really embarrassed with this, but i have run out of nappies and I have now had to use a teatowel to cover my boy up. Unfortunately, his dad won't be back until 8ish but I do not see a way to take him out to the shops to get one, my question really is, What the fuck do i do? Its not like the shop is close by either.

You can get nappies delivered via uber eats, deliveroo etc. They have supermarkets on there like Tesco.

If any family are nearby could also ask them? Depends where you are. If you’re close my way, feel free to drop a message. Happy to help drop them off to you if that’s the case xx

Oh gosh, can you go to the Portsmouth group on here and see if anyone could meet you and drop you off?
How old is your little one?

Is there no way dad can pop home? I’m sure his work or whatever would understand if he’s not too far away? X

Or can’t you get your partner or some other family to order some from a local delivery service on your behalf? My hubby would do this without a second thought

Do you have any local churches or mosques nearby they're usually happy to help maybe give them a call and see if anyone can help out

Why can’t you take him to the shops to get some? Just a general question as you haven’t said…

He is 8 months old.
Thank you all for suggestions,
My partner works over an hour away, I dont drive or have any family /friends nearby,
I just don't feel comfortable walking around in a shop or to the shops without a nappy on as he can easily pull everything off him, I have used the T-shirt method that has sent me xx

Avatar

If you’ve used the t shirt method then shouldn’t be able to pull that off, don’t be anxious take that walk with him you’ll feel so much better after xx

Avatar

I’d ask my other half to use uber eats/sinilar to deliver some from a local co-op

Avatar

Pop clothes over the tshirt method and just walk to the shop with them like that. Pop a blanket under them in the pram. No one will even know, you’ve got this x

do a facebook post in your local community page, can do them anonymously too x

Two months vaccinations advice

My daughter just had her two months vaccinations, she cried, I cried, her cry broke me completely, never want to hear that again. She came home had a sleep on me, I then needed bits from the shop so I put her into her pram for sleep which she did, then she had a nap on her daddy when we came back, but I have had a rough night worrying about her fever, she had Calpol before bed because I checked her temperature, I have a paediatric first aid and questionimg what I done so far, check her temperature before bed and put her in her swaddle bag that's one tog because she waves her arms around and it wakes her up and now I am worried she took hot but we got air con on and I keep checking the room temperature, so now I am nervous about her, she's been really wiggly in bed , in and out of sleep, waiting to see if she wants milk but goes back to sleep, I don't want to pick her up until she's fully awake because she keeps yawning and drifting back off, is there any advice I should know.

No school till 5

So I’ve seen things online of people saying your child doesn’t have to be in school till term after 5th birthday.. so my daughters birthday is December. Does that mean I can register her to start September.. but up till January. She can have random days off here/ there without being fined? (Uk)

Fall down the stairs… please help

My son fell down the stairs and I took him straight to a and e and they said all was good thank god. The doctor said as he’s had a fall at home they have to refer me on to the health team or something??? What does that even mean? I’m scared like it was an accident

First words

My baby is 1 years old and 3 weeks. Made loads of sounds like ‘ohhhhhh’ and ‘oooooooo’ says dada but nothing else. I’m constantly talking at him and if I say look at xyz etc he knows exactly what I’m talking about. But the words don’t come out of his mouth. Just looking for some reassurance I guess as all I see on here are babies saying 5+ words already 🤯

Nappies in this heat 😷

Ladies what are we doing with dirty nappies in this heat? I had a separate outdoor bin for them but it f****** stunk! So just throwing them direct into the wheelie bin now but ours only gets collected once every 2 weeks so worried about flies and yes maggots 🤮. What’s everyone else doing?
