Nappies in this heat 😷

Ladies what are we doing with dirty nappies in this heat? I had a separate outdoor bin for them but it f****** stunk! So just throwing them direct into the wheelie bin now but ours only gets collected once every 2 weeks so worried about flies and yes maggots 🤮. What’s everyone else doing?

To add I double bag them before throwing them ofc

Maybe a bin buddy deodoriser. My bins have just changed to every 3 weeks so had to get an extra collection every two weeks for just nappies. And every couple months or so, tend to clean the inside of my bins. Has helped so far. Sorry don’t have any other advice

Double bag. Make sure all the air is out of the bag as well. And I sprinkle bicarb into the bin & there's a fly spray you can buy for the bin too

I use little bin bags, they are quicker full so you empty them more often, ergo they don't smell in the house, just outside in the wheely bin. 😅

Two months vaccinations advice

My daughter just had her two months vaccinations, she cried, I cried, her cry broke me completely, never want to hear that again. She came home had a sleep on me, I then needed bits from the shop so I put her into her pram for sleep which she did, then she had a nap on her daddy when we came back, but I have had a rough night worrying about her fever, she had Calpol before bed because I checked her temperature, I have a paediatric first aid and questionimg what I done so far, check her temperature before bed and put her in her swaddle bag that's one tog because she waves her arms around and it wakes her up and now I am worried she took hot but we got air con on and I keep checking the room temperature, so now I am nervous about her, she's been really wiggly in bed , in and out of sleep, waiting to see if she wants milk but goes back to sleep, I don't want to pick her up until she's fully awake because she keeps yawning and drifting back off, is there any advice I should know.

No school till 5

So I’ve seen things online of people saying your child doesn’t have to be in school till term after 5th birthday.. so my daughters birthday is December. Does that mean I can register her to start September.. but up till January. She can have random days off here/ there without being fined? (Uk)

Fall down the stairs… please help

My son fell down the stairs and I took him straight to a and e and they said all was good thank god. The doctor said as he’s had a fall at home they have to refer me on to the health team or something??? What does that even mean? I’m scared like it was an accident

First words

My baby is 1 years old and 3 weeks. Made loads of sounds like ‘ohhhhhh’ and ‘oooooooo’ says dada but nothing else. I’m constantly talking at him and if I say look at xyz etc he knows exactly what I’m talking about. But the words don’t come out of his mouth. Just looking for some reassurance I guess as all I see on here are babies saying 5+ words already 🤯

From one worried mummmy x

Crying

Does anyone else cry? 😂 ive cried twice now, baby is 5 week old, so overall that isn't too bad!! But im tired.. she's very much at the stage now where she wakes instantly when i put her down. But I feel guilty for crying because I love my little girl so much and I'm crying because of the sleep deprivation that she's causing.. i always feel better after a cry
