Day/night confusion and feeding schedule at 3 weeks old

My little girl is 3 weeks old and already one 6 feeds per 24 hours (bottle fed) (drinking c700ml per 24 hours) with good nappy output and she’s very content generally. I have observed though that in the last week or so she’s been very hard to wake up during the day and wakes up on her own during the night every 3 hour or so, when she used to do longer stretches before. Both the midwife and the responsive feeding team have said that because she’s putting on weight nicely + content + good nappy output, we don’t need to wake her up during the night anymore and just take her lead. It does seem like she’s confusing day and night and I would like to readjust that so that her longer sleep stretches are back to being at night.

Any idea on how frequently we should feed her during the day to help promote longer sleep stretches during the night?

She’s on day 6 of her first set (of probably 7 or 8) of casts to treat her Talipes feet, not sure if the weight of the casts/inability to move her legs wake her up at night… We keep her legs elevated to help avoid toe swelling.

Does she have wake windows during the day?

Is she staying awake for long at night, when she wakes?

Waking 3 hourly is super normal

One tip is take her outside and let sun shine on her face (just for a few minutes) each morning

Honestly this sounds entirely normal, and you can't really make them sleep longer stretches over night. Waking every 3 hours over night is a decent length of time for a baby that age.

Sleeping through crying newborn

I spent a lot of time on the post natal ward which turned me into a really heavy sleeper (was a really light sleeper before). And now I sleep through my baby crying - anyone else just completely does not hear their child cry or am I a bad mum?! Luckily I always wake up to my husband feeding her 🙃…

Pre birth health visitor appointment

Has anyone refused a pre birth health visitor appointment. Ive never got one with my 2 other children they just came after birth. This time they have sent me a date to come visit. I dont feel I need a meet and greet appointment to know what they are about considering ive got a 5 year old and a 3 year old.

What would your reaction be if your partner offered to get you a boob job?

Sleeping through the night

My baby is sleeping through the night completely now, from 8:30-6:30. This means he’s dropped 2 feeds, but is still having the same amount during the day. Shall I offer more during the day as he’s technically having less now? He doesn’t seem to want anymore in the day though.

PPA & PPD

I just had my baby 8/1 and severely struggling with anxiety and depression. I’m constantly thinking something is going to happen so I don’t sleep. I’m constantly checking on him throughout the whole day and night. I’m running on minimal sleep and don’t know how I’m going to survive once my husband goes back to work. I feel so alone. I love my baby but hate the newborn stage because of what it’s done to me.

Cluster feeding

Has anyone come out the other side of this yet? 😅 and if so, how many weeks along until it finally eased off?

Our LO is only 2 weeks old so know it could be some time yet.. 👀
