Bedtime

What time is your LO bedtime? What time is their last nap?
I feel we always missed her bedtime or we are super early. It takes me 60-90mim to put her down. I usually start from 8-830.

Sometimes hes a bit more fussy. And doesnt sleep well but we normally start our bedtime routine around 6:30-7 and hes asleep by 7:30-8.

Bath, bottle, then cuddles and white noise till he falls asleep. Transfer to bassinet and he sleeps for 5-6 hours. Hes 8 weeks old today.

I usually put mine down between 7:30-8:30! It gets harder for me to get him down if I wait later than that. Also the Moms on Call bedtime routine has been a lifesaver for us

I start at 7pm, her last nap is a cat nap around 4:30-6pm (lasting about 30-60min). She’s asleep by 7:30pm but cluster feeds every hour until 10 then she’ll sleep about 5-6 hours. She’s 11 weeks old and has been doing this type of routine for about a month now, she’s also breastfed.

Mine is 6 weeks. We are having a bit of sleep regression or growth spurt. But I try to get her down for night time by 8.

This is her schedule (somewhat). I’ve tried to keep her on every 3-4 hr feedings. These are her wake windows on a normal day ish.
10pm-1 am, 3-4am, 6-7am, 10-12, 2-3(here is where we get funky) after 2pm she naps in 30 min increments and cluster feeds until 8 pm then the process repeats. She is starting to sleep longer at in her night, ish.

Sometimes she’s awake for like 8 hours with 30 min naps all day long, those are rough days.

I'm not in love with my baby's dad

So, I have an interesting predicament.
I'm not feeling how I use to with my babys dad. Our baby has DS and my bf works 4-6 days a week swingshift, 12 hour days. I'm a SAHM.

We rarely go out together, when we do its at a comedy club for people he mostly likes. The last time we went, the opener asked who has old family members. Like 2 people replied, I noticed he wasnt getting much interaction so I shouted an answer out. My partner turned, asked why I'm yelling and, me with my PPD, PPA, and PPR (postpartum depression, anxiety, and rage) along with being ADHD and bipolar, i got really emotional. I got up and left.

Its like anytime I'm in a good mood for multiple consecutive days, he questions it. Not like "I'm happy you're in a good mood" but "you're being really talkative and its bothering me." So I've mostly stopped trying to talk to him unless its related to the house or our son.

We've been together since 2022.
I dont know if i should get a secret part job, ask his parents to watch baby boy, put the money aside from an apartment and just leave one day before texting him I cant be in a relationship or fvcking what. But I'm at a loss.

I suggested couples therapy, he thought just us talking would be all we needed. I've told him my issues and he'll get better for a few days and go back into it.

Am I just being too sensitive? There's so much more but I feel its already so long.

how are we keeping out little ones cool in this heat?

my little boy is 2 weeks old and is inconsolably crying if he is put down but it overheating during contact naps and isnt sleeping very long and getting overtired as he is waking up too hot. he is constantly on the boob but im guessing thats for comfort as well as a drink as it is so warm and hes having masses of wet nappies so not worried hes dehydrated but i feel so bad about him being so warm and i have no way of cooling him to a comfortable temperature.

Dummy and EBF

Hey everyone, my little boy is now 2 weeks old and I’m exclusively breastfeeding. I think he would really find comfort with a dummy, when he finds it himself he will suck his thumb to soothe himself to sleep but if he has not fallen asleep when I’ve fed him, then a lot of the time he wants the boob again to fall sleep but will only drink for 2 mins because he’s just wanting it to fall sleep. I didn’t give my little girl a dummy until she was 4 weeks old as recommended to ensure breastfeeding was fully established, but she was absolutely fine without one until then. He’s been in hospital and on antibiotics which has made him really gassy and diarrhoea which is why I think he’s wanting more comfort as he’s in pain a bit. Has anyone given their baby a dummy before 4 weeks that are EBF and it been okay? Or should I wait the 2 more recommended weeks?
