I have an elective c section tomorro and I am absolutely terrified. I had a c section with my little boy but I was in labour so I never felt any pain, it wasn’t an emergency or anything it was planned but I just went into labour before I reached my elective c section day. Can anyone just offer reassurance? I’ve hardly slept and I think it’s because I’m worried about blood loss as my blood count has been fluctuating and so has my ferratin but apparently I didn’t meet criteria for an iron infusion.

Just breathe through every moment. Take each step of the process one at a time and try to stay present. I had mine a week ago. Thinking this way really helped me. They will talk to you throughout the process and offer you any relief you need. Mine was very successful (didnt like it but 100% worth it ) share your worries and they will reassure you 🥰 you’ll do great regardless 🥰

Hey my love. I had my second section on Monday and I felt the exact same way. I didn’t sleep the night before and was the second section of the day so sat for 6 hours hyping myself up in the hospital and stressing myself out but it all went really well. I personally found it more scary I think because I had done it before and knew what to expect but everyone was really lovely and baby girl got here safely. My ferritin has also been really low all pregnancy, I have been on iron yet it has still dropped. I had less than 200ml blood loss on Monday ☺️

I forgot how quickly baby is with you once they get going so by that time I didn’t care about anything anymore as I had cuddles
