Breech baby - Csection

Hey everyone, so I'm 39+4 today and yesterday I went for a growth scan which then revealed that baby is extended breech so I'm having a csection. They said they would ring me with a date but with me being due on sunday I'm worried about naturally going into labour.. Has anyone else ever been in this situation and if so how long was you waiting to hear when your section is?

Just getting so fed up now, especially in this heat too!!

I was 37 weeks when they discovered baby was breech. I had an ultrasound appointment with a perinatal specialist to evaluate my eligibility for ECV but was not recommended for variety of reasons. I was then scheduled for a c section 2 days later.

Hey hon, honestly do not worry because my first she was breached from 20 week and then they tried an ECV but it was unsuccessful so then they booked me in for my C-section at 39 weeks and five days however my daughter had other plans and I went into labour at exactly 39 weeks she was still breach. She did poo inside of me but please do not worry because they will do everything they can deliver baby safely and keep you safe.

I remember I started having contractions at probably 6 o’clock in the morning but didn’t realise until about 8 o’clock 9 o’clock that they were actually contractions which is when ringed the Midwife team and they told me to come in and when they checked me they did say I was 5 cm dilated already. I went into the hospital roundabout 12 o’clock and my daughter was delivered within two hours the only reason I was waiting two hours was because someone else had just gone in for their C-section, which was planned

I would say the pain did get more intense and frequent but I didn’t feel the need to urge to push yet so I’m guessing I was in the safe zone still and in regards to pain the thing is so like my sister-in-law is currently pregnant she is 2 cm dilated but has been in a lot of pain to the point. She can’t even take it and had to go into hospital Whereas when I was dilated to 5 cm yeah the pain was intense but I wouldn’t thought it to be labour pain I thought I was just generally having cramping like Braxton Hicks so pain wise it varies from person to person on how you deal with pain

you never know they may call you a day before your c section date plus sometimes baby tends to turn on the last minute so don’t worry at all your in safe hands trust me I will never forgot the say I was laying on the bed and they say “ yes your in labour we can see babies bum” I was like WHAT!!!! I was so scared but they were so quick and constantly kept checking on me if you want and can’t deal with the pain you can ask for gas n air to help with the pain
