My husband (straight white cis male) is doing a year of schooling to get his admin credentials. One of the classes is about being anti racist and offering extra support and making sure there's diversity/inclusivity in the classroom.
All that's great and not at all the problem. But his teacher for the class was going on about being anti white and that she won't help or pay attention to white cis male students, and will be prioritizing students of a minority.
When the only other white guy asked a scheduling question he was brushed off and told he'd get it in an email.
When a woman of color asked the same question she was given a real answer, that they would have group meetings of certain sizes in different locations and they'll get notified when and where.
Like I said, we're all for the diversity and being anti racist but is the teacher maybe being a bit extreme by brushing off the guy and saying anti white?? Or is this the way it should/has to be?
(I'm a bi cis woman of color)

That’s discrimination. Teaching is about helping others learn. Regardless of status or skin color.
The teacher also added that if they don't share the same values/opinions as her then they should just drop the class now cause she's not dealing with them. Which again I understand that it's a diversity class and it's to better support child students but also, as a teacher you're not supposed to pick favorites and give passing grades only to those who agree with you on a personal level. If they're putting in the work and getting the grade they shouldn't be marked down for personal beliefs. Right??? 🤔😵💫

that teacher is racist

I’d go to admin of the school, that’s obnoxious

Did the class just start or has this been going on for a while? What came to mind was the prof trying to make an example out of them to make them feel how a lot of POC feel in a classroom.. idk
