How long did you wait before getting pregnant again after C-section?

How long did you wait before getting pregnant again after your C-section? I understand that my NHS Trust recommend 12-18 months.

Did you have any checks beyond the usual 6 to 8w pp check before trying again? I’d also love to hear from anyone who has had a pregnancy after a C-section. Did your doctor or midwife give you any specific advice about when it was safe to start trying?

Just looking for personal experiences rather than medical advice ❤️

My daughter has her 3rd lot of jabs on Tuesday, I’m going to ask them then as I definitely want another spawn 😁

Ooo I would like to know this too! It took us 4yrs and fertility treatment to conceive our son so had originally planned to try again straight away (when you’re supposedly most fertile) but I had an emergency C-section.

The Dr advised us to wait 18 months, but that feels like a long time, especially if we need fertility treatment again.

My auntie had hers 19 months apart (so conceived at 10 months postpartum) and she said she had no problems. She had C-sections for both.

But I don’t want to get pregnant and then end up in agony because the C-section wasn’t healed enough…

We are STRUGGLING to pick a baby boy name.

We don’t want anything “cute”, he has got to grow up to be a man with this name so something timeless unique but also crazy.

We have narrowed down to “Silas” and “Marcel” at the moment.

But I am not obsessed with any name at all!! Baby is due in 4 weeks 🥹

Early labour?

I’m 5 days overdue and looking for any signs of labour. Been feeling quite queasy today which is unusual for me. Did anyone have this and it turned into labour or am I looking into it too much?

NHS vs Private Scan

Has anyone experienced discrepancies between nhs and private scans? 12 days ago the EPU assessed me as 5 weeks 2 days as they could see the gestational sac and a yolk. I had a private scan today and they said I was only 5 weeks 3 days, even though I now also have a 3.1mm embryo. I’m so confused!

Pressure in my butt

All day I’ve been getting like the most intense pressure in my butt like I’m literally seconds from pooping myself, it lasts for maybe a minute or two then goes. When I’ve went to the loo after, I haven’t actually needed to poop. Anyone else having this? It’s sooo uncomfortable!! 34w today!

Braxton hicks becoming more frequent.

Anyone else experiencing Braxton hicks quite frequently?

Mine are happening quite often, not painful but quite uncomfortable. 😣
