Get rid of the tablet and teach him to keep his hands out of his pants

I think it’s important to teach him that it’s okay to explore his body but it should be a private thing, not something he does anywhere. I would just move him to his bedroom or the bathroom if he shares a bedroom.

Also please don’t panic as it does sound like normal boy exploration but… I would ask him some probing questions to establish if he’s doing it on his own accord or if he’s learnt it from watching something or seeing it…

I was SA as a child by my brothers friend who was about 4 years older. And due to this taught myself to ‘hump’ things. My mum caught me a few times but never thought to ask me anything about it. So it’s good to ask some appropriate questions but not make him feel bad or that he’s done anything wrong.

Wow these responses are judgmental. There's nothing wrong with him using a tablet or exploring his body. It's completely natural. I'd just teach him that it should be done in private. Please don't shame him for touching his own body.
