Feel like I’m going insane

So I’m 5 weeks 2 days pregnant after trying for 2 years. It’s my first time ever getting positive pregnancy tests so I’m insanely excited and hopeful! Using clear blue digital I hopped up from 1-2 weeks to 2-3weeks last week, but still waiting for my 3+ 🤞🏼

Anyone else on their first pregnancy and super anxious? I still don’t believe it yet 😂 I feel like all I see on Tik Tok & social media is people with negative experiences, eg. miscarrying, and I’ve just got in the back of my head that this could be me (I have no reason/symptoms telling me I am/will!) - even though the statistics are relatively low!

I’ve dove into suchhhhh deep holes and learnt lots about things I didn’t know about, like missed miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies etc! I have ADHD, so once I’m hooked, I’m hooked and my brain runs!

I’ve got a scan booked at the end of next week to give me some reassurance I am actually pregnant, and hoping this will help ease the anxiety.

Anyone else in the same boat and can help me feel like I’m not a mad woman? 😂

Honestly pregnancy anxiety is the worst thing ever. 9 months of constant worrying. I was like it with my 1st and likely the same this time round. It's always different aswell like the symptoms you get and things happening at different times.
Try and keep focused on other things and keep your mind busy to not think the worse if you can. I used to look at the good stuff like baby room decor, nursery items, wishlists, prams etc. It allows you to be excited but takes away a bit of the fear x

Ah bless you. The way I see it, you can focus on the good things. You probably see or hear more about negative experiences than positive.

What’s helped me is focusing on what life will look like with the little one here - I’ve got an expenses spreadsheet, I’m putting together list of books to read to the little one, looking at nurseries and nursery fees, leaflets from badger notes etc. I also have ADHD so I can empathise - once we’re hooked, we’re hooked! If you need some spreadsheet templates, let me know 😂

Second baby…

I’m 38 weeks today with my second baby and I’m really struggling now, I still have a week to go before I go on maternity leave 😅
Did anyone go into labour around this time or does it mostly happen at 40+ weeks? I don’t know how much longer I can deal with the pressure and pain!
I also feel like I can’t be the mummy I want to be at the moment as all I can do is sit/lay down all the time which isn’t fun for a 3 year old 🥲

First time mom jitters

Hi ladies this is my first ever pregnancy I’ve had plenty of scares in the past. We are very cautiously optimistic as we have been praying for this little nugget for 10 months. I’m a first time mom he isn’t a first time dad so he kind of knows what to expect. But we are both nervous but he is more than I am. Anyone else’s partner really nervous?
