For the first time ever. We have been together for almost 3 and a half years.
We have a lot going on, such as baby number two due in November, trying to sell our house and negotiate with the owners of the house we are buying.
With that the conversation started off pretty normal- talking about installing a doggy door and how I thought getting this specific automatic one installed into our wall is better than buying the door that has one already installed (it’s more expensive and not automatic) he disagreed and said he’ll pay the extra money if it means not putting a hole in the wall. fair but I want/need the automatic with new born otw, ( I didn’t say this exactly) I said but the automatic will make it easier for me. He gave no other option and just started saying like. It doesn’t even matter what I say we just always do what you want cause you’re a bitch.
The moment of silence we had before I looked and said what did you just say? He ended up trying to back up what he said but I told him to “shut the fuck up and the conversation was over” (I under stand I did come back “strong” but tbf I do not even give a fuck)
Now I’m in our bed room laying with our toddler while he naps trying to figure out where to go from here.

My husband and I have been together 6 years married for 4. In the beginning he would get mad and throw things, I stood my ground and stayed calm and made it very clear I will jot be with someone who does that. Its okay to be mad or angry but not throw things. Told him to just tell me,"we can talk about this later" then both parties cool off and discuss it later whether its later that day or the next day. This has worked very well for us. Hes changed a lot. Me staying calm and standing my ground and making it very clear I will not tolerate disrespect. You need to do the same. Once the two of you have calmed down you need to make it clear to him that you will not put up with him calling you a bitch even if he was angry in the moment there's no excuse. If you let it go it will only get worse. He'll probably respond with something like then go find someone else. That's when you explain you don't want anyone else. You chose him because you love him and want to make things work but won't tolerate the disrespect.

So the same thing happened to me in the beginning but I stayed firm in the fact that I just needed some space to cool down. I promised him we would talk about it and told him I wanted my best self present for that conversation and now is not the time. I also told him I needed to cool down so I didn't accidentally say something i didn't mean because I was emotional. This one took some time but being consistent and firm will get you there. Now I start getting worked up, I tell him I love you but we need to have this conversation later and he immediately drops it. Says okay. I love you too and kisses me on the forehead.
