5 year old had sleepovers previously but 3 year old never did.
I asked my husband to ask his mum first, to see her opinion but he is asking me I should make my mind up first, which is right?

Yeah but I'd definitely do a one night sleepover (both kids) beforehand

Really depends on your guys relationship like if she respects you then she respects ur kids, but if she shows zero respect towards you and has zero effort to wanna grow a relationship with you, then I wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving my kids with them but if you guys have a pretty good relationship, then I feel like it could be a good situation🩵

I would they’re both old enough to speak and express their views etc.. only thing is I’d maybe trial a sleepover with your 3 year old first before committing to booking x

I’d be tempted to do somewhere in the uk first or just do a date night. It’s not that I wouldn’t do it. My parents did the reverse and took my 5 year old to Spain while I was working.

100%. But that also wouldn't have been the first time they spent nights together.
To add to this, we left them yesterday at my mils for about 2 hours. And I received a phone call saying my 3 year old pooped in her nappy ( and my son who’s 5 told me over the phone, she didn’t speak to me).
And then when I returned her nappy was still soiled, and my mil said she tried to change her but my daughter didn’t let her.
Now I don’t know whether she called me before she tried to change her. As previous times when we left my daughter I’d come home to a very wet nappy ( and my husbands response is she forgot?). And when my son was younger she woukd always call us when he had pooped, but eventually would change).
So I don’t know.

My MIL yes, my mother, absolutely the fuck not.

I’ve done it. On our honeymoon- well my mom had one and my mil had the other
