Mother-in-law trauma

So mother-in-law is coming to stay for the weekend after multiple years I get her reasons for wanting to spend time with her grandson, but we also moved away for a reason when I first had my son. She walked around a whole baseball game claiming it was her kid one time she told me she would stab me and my fiancé and our kid without us. Said that I was just such a selfish person for madding the decision to move to a state that is only an hour away after coming back from a state 14 hours away when her son decided it and then proceeds to tell me I can’t call her son baby who I’ve been married to for seven years…. Now she’s staying for the weekend after years of not seeing her. I don’t know how to react. I don’t want to fake and be happy while she oversteps her boundaries with my son. I also don’t wanna fight. And don’t wanna talk to her. What if she gets offended if I don’t wanna talk to her. What would you do?

Raise our kid without us*

I would talk to my husband and set some clear rules and boundaries so that if she crosses them she is sent to a hotel or back home. If he is not on your side and doesn’t support you he can spend the weekend with his mom and you and your little one can spend it with yours or a friend even if it comes to it. Allowing someone into your home who does not respect you as an individual, mother or wife is very hard. And honestly I’m a firm believer of if they can’t love and respect the parents then they won’t the kiddos either. Talk to your husband for sure if you haven’t already because yes it sucks for you but also is this the kind of example that he wants to set for his son is that someday you or he could treat his future partner with disrespect especially in their own home.
Sending good energy your way I hope it turns out well and you both can support each other in a tough situation.

Girl sorry for coming off as rude but fuck your mom in law. She said she would stab your entire family?! You need to kick her ass out of your house. She doesn't need to be in your house after saying shit like that to you. Your husband needs to tell her momma she needs to go and defend you and your son! He needs to cut her out of his life! Her behavior is unacceptable. Your husband isn't protecting you and your son by allowing this woman to stay in the house.

I'm sorry but she wouldn't be staying in my house after she said she'd STAB us.

Why is your husband allowing her to stay with you first of all? Why isn’t he protecting you and your child?

So this is wild as fuck to me.

I would NEVER allow anyone into my home who threatened MY LIFE. Idc who they are. Your husband may be used to her crazy shit and used to the disrespect that its so normal to him BUT it does not mean you have to accept it in your home or even in your life.

Is this man neurodivergence or just has bad hygiene and lazy and disrespectful and disgusting !!?

Can someone help me understand this? I genuinely don’t know whether my partner is neurodivergent, has some kind of compulsive behaviour, or is just being unhygienic/lazy/nasty.

Some of the things he does:

He has a towel that he uses only for his bum.

He uses wipes when he poos, then uses the towel to “dry the wetness” before putting talcum powder there.

He has nailed hooks/nails into our living room walls to hang his work clothes because he doesn’t want to fold them. He says they need to “air out” and doesn’t want to hang them anywhere else.

He urinates in bottles next to our bed and will apparently keep using the same bottle until it’s full.

He spits into clothes that are sitting in the dirty laundry basket.

If he washes his hands in the kitchen sink, he has to remove every single plate, spoon, etc. first because he feels like the “dirt from his hands is running into the plates and forks, and they’re already dirty.”

His showers take around 25 minutes and he has to soap himself up THREE times because otherwise, in his words, “he won’t feel clean.”

If he sees a fly, he cannot relax until it’s either dead or out of the house. He’ll run around trying to get it, jump around, throw things and even throw shoes at the ceiling. There are literally shoe marks/footprints on the ceiling/walls from this.

Last night I left some milk out because it was already bad and I intended to throw it away. He woke up 6–7 hours later and put it back in the fridge because he said he didn’t know whether I was throwing it away and “it wasn’t that hot last night.”

He’ll wipe his bum and then go around touching drawers and cupboards without washing his hands. When I point it out, he says, “Only one hand is dirty,” despite using both hands to fold the wipes/tissues while cleaning himself.

And just to clarify, this is a 26-year-old man.
I’m not trying to diagnose him, but I’m genuinely struggling to understand what is going on here. Some of these behaviours seem like they could be compulsive or related to sensory issues/neurodivergence, while others just seem like basic hygiene and cleanliness that he should know better about.
Has anyone experienced something similar or have any insight into what could explain this kind of behaviour?

Two year old activities

I have a two year old boy that’s not speaking and now a four month old as well any activities that would keep him entertained or toys that will as it’s not easy trying to juggle both, and leaving the house is still really daunting and feel like he’s really bored, any ideas?

Baby eating purées

My son will be 5 months old on the 22 and at his 4 month check up his pediatrician cleared him for purées and he has been actually eating it since the second go at it. He is still drinking his bottles but will also eat 2oz of purées sometime even more when I mix formula and rice milk into it. Is anyone else’s baby doing this? Am I over feeding him? He is still showing signs of being hungry but I’ve read I’m not supposed to give him more than 2tbsp a day?
