Honest opinions Vbac or no?

We found out about our 2nd kid and we had a conversation about vbac vs c-section doc said they would monitor but ultimately honor my decision unless some major medical concerns came up.

My first c-section was in Sept 2025 and it healed really really well I was running and lifting after 12 weeks every doctor was impressed. So they aren’t concerned. I am anxious my first birth I was induced and it failed I labored for +30 hrs and got the epidural after 11 hrs. My first just never wanted to come out. Looking back I was in such a state of adrenaline I didn’t realize how traumatic it was. Now after having the vbac vs C-section conversation it’s being so much birth anxiety up!

Ultimately, in theory I’d love to try a vbac but don’t know anyone with success stories. Or should I just get a c-section?

I would have a VBAC.
Don’t got for an induction unless absolutely medically necessary.

I'm aiming for a vbac but if it ends up another c section so be it.

Only you can make that decision. The BRAIN method might help you:
B - what are the Benefits of a vbac vs c section?
R - what are the Risks?
A - are there any Alternatives?
I - what's your Instinct telling you?
N - what happens if you do Nothing?

I've used this throughout both high risk pregnancies to help make difficult decisions.

I think that only you know what you would be comfortable with and why your first ended up as a c section (the long version) as much as I would hate to have a c section, I don’t think I would attempt a VBAC because I feel that my labor isn’t favorable to do so. Technically I could but my doctor doesn’t advise it.

My baby was tiny (6lbs 1oz and 18 inches) I am also very petite (4’10) and he was tilted about a cm which caused him to be caught on my pelvic bone- and that was a pain the epidural did not touch.

Upon delivery my doctor said that my pelvic bones didn’t extend as much as they would have anticipated and it likely would’ve been a long time pushing. She did say it was not impossible by a stretch but was honest in her assessment.

I cannot imagine any planet where I would grow another full term baby and have it be smaller than this one and that’s a scary thought. I’ve also heard that recovery is easier when it’s planned because you haven’t been laboring. I am too afraid to

I want a vbac but they’re pushing for C-section as I can’t safely carry past 38 weeks, I went into labour spontaneously with my first so I’m hoping I do with this one too

First birth was December 24, this one will be April 27. I will definitely attempt a vbac if medically appropriate. My first section was a medical necessity, so hoping I don’t have that same experience this go!

Anyone else wake up feeling like they’ve been hit by a bus???

Every morning I’m so sore! My stomach feels crazy heavy, my arms and neck hurt, don’t even get me started on the back pain. I cannot do this for another 3 weeks 🥴😴🥱

Boy or girl? 🩷🩵

I've just had my 12 scan and I'm curious as to what people think the little one might be ☺️

I know you can look into the nub theory, so I'm curious if some of you can tell 🤨🤭

This is the clearest photo they could get due to previous C-section scar and baby just not playing ball today 😂🤦🏼‍♀️

Heart Shaped Uterus

I am 5 weeks 5 days and had an early scan this morning due to cramping last week. Everything on my scan looks exactly how it should and the consultant was happy. However she did mention I have a heart shaped uterus and implantation occured on my right. I asked what did that mean and she explained uterus has a slight drip which makes it heart shaped. She said it's nothing to worry about. I stupidly googled after the scan and read there is an increased risk of miscarriage etc. Does anyone have a heart shaped uterus/have positive stories?

Reduced movements!

Hi girls - I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and feeling a bit embarrassed. I’ve been told I’ve got an anterior placenta and I’ve been in triage around 5/6 times since 25 weeks for reduced movements. I’ve since moved and my care has changed to my current hospital. I went in over two weeks ago for reduced movements, ctg was fine and was referred for a scan to double check - that went perfect as well. I went in today because she again, wasn’t moving much - soon as I got there she was all active and wiggling away. Ctg went perfect again but they’ve referred me for a scan again to double check. I just feel like I’m wasting their time and I’m a bit embarrassed about it all. I know I’m doing the right thing by getting it checked if she has reduced movements - I just worry about other people thinking I’m being a bit dramatic! Has anyone had a similar situation?
