Why do people take multiple pregnancy tests?

I took one in the afternoon then one first thing the next morning to double check and that was it. I see people doing loads of tests during the early weeks and just curious as to why?

I didn’t take a pregnancy test until I was 3-4 days overdue for my period. At that point 1 test and that was it.

I think it depends on the person, I took multiple in the first early days/week or so as I'd had early miscarriages and the darkening lines were a bit of comfort, showing my levels were still going up and not dropping.

Sometimes, people take the test too early for a line to show, so they would do it again.

In my 1st pregnancy, my period was 10 days late. I took a test around the 5th day but it was negative. Then I did one everyday after that which then showed positive on Day 10. That’s the reason I did multiple tests. Everyone is different though

In my 2nd pregnancy, I took only 1 test because I was nearly 3 months pregnant but had no symptoms. So there was no need to repeat as the line was extremely dark😂

Personally,
I went through infertility for around 3 years before falling pregnant with ICSI/IVF. It felt too good to be true and I tested constantly until my 8 week scan.

27 weeks and omg the pain!!!

This is my second pregnancy but I do not remember the pain being as bad as the first! Granted I am a single mother of a two year old and I am also working so that could be apart of the reason! I feel like it’s dragging y’all, I’m so ready for 39 weeks to be here!! And too meet my baby! Anyone else feeling the same?

Postpartum Body

Was anyone else as worried as I am about losing my pregnancy weight? My LO is 6 weeks . It seems so scary now that I won’t get back my flat stomach before pregnancy. It feels so weird when I dress to go outside. My confidence is so shattered 💔

Labor Q's

How hungry did y'all feel when you were laboring? I know fueling yourself well is crucial during that time. How large was your appetite while in labor? Did you feel like you could eat heavier or lighter foods? Hot versus cold? What did you crave and how often? Did you ever feel nauseous or throw up from a contraction? Or even faint or lightheaded?

I haven't given birth yet but I know how my body responds under stress or I get over heated, adrenaline, not much appetite, can get faint etc so I'm just curious how it was for you? It's hard to imagine for myself having a large appetite for anything heavy and I feel like I would be more peckish instead. I'm trying my best to know what to expect and plan for as the date approaches.

What foods worked well versus not so well? Any recommendations and tips are greatly appreciated! ☺️

Low blood pressure

Yesterday, I had a vasovagal episode. I experienced blurred vision, cold sweats and dizziness and I was very close to fainting because my blood pressure dropped considerably. I went to the maternity unit for a check up and the doctor mentioned that the episode was triggered by my position (standing up with my chin close to my chest) and that there was nothing to worry about. She recommended drinking electrolytes and resting.

I have always had low blood pressure, and I’m really concerned that this could affect my baby later on or even impact my labour experience.

Has anyone else dealt with low blood pressure during pregnancy or labour?
