C section bf painkillers?

What pain killers were you able to take/were given when leaving the hospital after c section? Looking for those who were bf to answer?

I assume some painkillers are not suitable to take after a c section whilst bf?

Due a planned c section and I’m worried about my pain tolerance and threshold over that first week or so.

I did however give birth to my first with no pain relief whatsoever (no gas, paracetamol, no morphine or epidural). Unfortunately this was not my choice!

In all honesty I just had paracetamol. I was extremely stiff but was not really in alot of pain unless I moved around too much. Make sure you have plenty of support at home and I always made sure I wasn’t alone with the baby for the first few weeks minimum just incase. I can’t compare a c section to natural birth as he is my first

Wishing you good luck x

Am I getting the right info? What should I know?

Hi all,
I’m a first time mum and I’ve had issues with midwives changing and telling me different things at each appointment. I’m currently 36+1 and I have not been spoken to about a birthing plan (I’ve asked and keep being told “next time” - multiple times). I also have absolutely no idea what my babies estimated weight is - I didn’t realise this information was given. I feel like the midwifery team are really letting me down. (There have been other issues in which I found out information very late or had to fight to get things sorted).
I rang to try to change an appointment, spent over an hour on hold and being passed to different people as everyone was saying they don’t deal with appointments. I was then hung up on. I rang back and the woman said she would email the relevant team and I still haven’t had any communication. I am classed as out of area (I live between two hospitals and chose one). I asked the health visitor if I could switch and she said there was no point.
At this stage what should I know about my baby??

Huge ass baby

So I had a growth scan today at 37+1 and she is already estimated at 8lbs 7oz. Like I know it's normal women push babies out all the time but I'm actually terrified of pushing a large baby out. They said I could be induced at 39 weeks but I don't know what to do.

Did you bleed in your first trimester but everything was ok?

I’ve been lightly bleeding for 4 days now (more than spotting but not like a period) and I’m just wondering if this can be classed as normal and if anyone else has experienced this but everything has been ok?

I am going up to the hospital next week I’ve got a scan booked for Thursday after going up with pain last week suspected 6 weeks she could only see a gestational sac and told me to come back in 2 weeks as maybe I’m earlier than I thought but now I’ve been bleeding for 4 days I’m just really struggling to see how this pregnancy will be viable 😢

Period or over doing it? Or anyone had their period yet?

Hi ladies! I’m 8 weeks postpartum. I had a csection and around 5 weeks postpartum my lochia tapered off. For the past 3 weeks I’ve had spotting on and off. I’m an exclusive pumper so sometimes it came after pumping all that. Last week I got mastitis and had a 20oz drop in supply (I’m still an oversupplier so it’s fine- and although hate mastitis it helped get me way more comfortable). But then Monday after I finished my antibiotics I had a weird episode where I thought I was ovulating. Pumping was sensitive and had to turn my setting wayyyy down and discharge was weird as if it was fertile. Today is my husband’s first day back at work and I took my toddler and baby to a birthday party. I was on my feet baby wearing the whole time. Went to the restroom at the event and nothing was there but came home to see that I had a period like flow. I’m not soaking a pad an hour or anything.

But I didn’t know if anyone has had their period yet this soon? More wondering like did I overdo it and need to rest and cancel plans the rest of the week or is it my period and I’m still good to go?
