What about when they crawl?!

I’ve been cosleeping with my daughter since day 1, and I would like to keep doing so but am nervous about how that’ll be when she starts crawling. Any tips?

I also co sleep and my baby is 5 months old and getting around some and super close to crawling. we have our bed on the floor on top of a thing to prevent mold (it doesn’t increase the height) and a bed rail on the bed right now that’s pretty long so he would have to go to the foot of the bed to get off, we will see in the future if we need something else or not however they do make floor beds! It’s like a bed rail but all the way around

You could get bed guards if you're really worried. I think they just slide under the mattress and it basically turns your bed into a big crib lol
My baby would get to about half way and then lay down. Like sleep walking cause she wasn't actually awake so she didn't make it far. I just kept her in a onesie so I can grab her by the buttons lol
We also got a pack n play that she uses like a crib for naps and for when she goes to bed but we're still up. That way I didn't have to worry about her rolling off the bed. Now that she walks, she knows how to get off the bed safely but that hasn't happened during bedtime (thank goodness lol )

Floorbeds! Generally rails aren't recommended until at least 18 months I think. As soon as she started crawling we taught her how to get off the bed safely which took about a week. It also helped for when she started climbing everything because she already knew how to get down safely.

She has rolled off the floorbed a few times in the night, but we have foam mats on the floor so it was just more of a shock than anything and she was asleep again as soon as I picked her up.

You just want to make sure they can't escape the room in the middle of the night. We have a gate on the door.

This was 6 weeks Post Partum on my first girls trip, although I looked the part it didn’t feel the same. Thought of leaving my baby girl and the sleep deprivation.

Felt like going into back hibernation 😭

Navigating politics as a mother

Has anyone really struggled meeting mum friends because of political concerns? I have always been very left wing ( pro palestine , supporting trans/gay rights , anti racism) and even more so after having a baby because I feel like i’m even more passionate to have a kind world for our children . I get a little worried when i meet other mums at baby groups that i’ll find out they’re actually right wing or against a lot of the morals i hold and i wouldn’t be able to keep that around my child . Not sure if it’s normal to feel so strongly about politics around my baby.
But also if it makes me uncomfortable then that’s also an issue i guess ?

Hey mamas, I’m due very soon and now ready to start washing our baby’s clothes/bedding/blankets (eeek!). Would love some recommendations regarding washing detergents and powders that have worked for you and whether you tumble dry too? x

Sex Postpartum…

Hi ladies, how long has everyone waited/plan to wait to have sex again? I had an unplanned c-section just under 5 weeks ago, but recovery has been really good so far and have been feeling ready for a while but the guidance for everything seems to be wait till at least 6 weeks. Just wondering what everyone else’s thoughts are, and anything to be aware of? 🤍

Can’t nurse to sleep anymore

Everyone says not to but I’ve nursed my daughter to sleep the whole time and she’s 7 months old. Now after she falls asleep, the tiniest movement will wake her up and she’s upset because she knows the crib is next. Within a matter of days we’ve gone from 20-30 min to get her to bed to a couple hours of failing multiple times and she gets so anxious she can’t settle again. I’m devastated at how upsetting this is for her. My husband said I’m numero uno to her and she’s having separation anxiety. My heart is breaking. Idk what to do from here. She’s sleeping on me now because she needs another hour at least. Open to advice (except CIO would kill me). Anyone in a similar boat?
