Let’s start by saying I love my kids and would not change them for the world.
Having said that, having kids is hard work, dupers change, cleaning all sort of bodily fluids, sleepless nights without even thinking of how expensive it all is.
That’s why I could never ever adopt kids. Like this sort of effort can be made for your own flesh and blood you created or at most for your nephews/nieces or grandkids, but certainly not for strangers.
If I made them it is my responsibility, but if someone else had some fun am I supposed to pick up the hard work? Forget about it 😂

That is obviously your opinion and your entitled to that.
But some people cannot have children so chosen to adopt. Children who are also being adopted havent chosen to be adopted and deserve the basic care, love and attention even if that is from their non biological parents.

I ended up having a biological child through IVF but was open to the idea of adoption if it came to it. I don't go to the effort of caring for my daughter because she happens to share some of my DNA, you grow the bond through doing all those things you've said. I wanted a child, not a child who looks like me. Making the decision to adopt is just as big and often much more of a conscious decision than having biological children. You don't adopt a child by accident. My nephews on my husband's side aren't technically blood relatives to me but that doesn't mean I love them any less than my sister's child! Obviously I don't think adoption is for everyone, it sounds like it isn't for you and that's not a bad thing at all, it's a personal preference so I selected you're the only one but not because you are, I don't think you're unusual I just don't feel the same lol

You sound like my sister's partner.
He also doesn't donate or give back to charity in any way because his time and money is his. And he doesn't see why he should take responsibility for others. Peak humanity.

Its not the kids fault their birth parents are irresponsible. I'd care for an adopted kid just the same but that's why its a long process to be a foster parent or to adopt. I'd rather care for a kid than them grow up in an abusive home or end up dieing harshly. The little things make a difference in a person and every child deserves a chance to be loved.
I’ve had two positive clear blue 1-2 weeks 3 days apart but negative line tests and another negative digital in between the positive tests not sure what’s happening anyone have any ideas?

Hey everyone,
Just wondering if there are any IVF mummas to be on here? I’m 5w5days but can’t work out what symptoms are the IVF meds and which are pregnancy related. Feel quite anxious that they might all be meds related, so hard waiting for a scan. Just want to know everything is okay!

Hey ladies, hope you are all doing well! Just feeling it particularly recently and thought coming here and sharing might help a bit.
I'm on cycle 4 of trying this time, we have a little girl who will be 2 in September. But it is so isolating to have no one to talk about all this with, I have no girlfriends and I don't think my partner understands the emotions behind what I'm feeling.
This cycle has been especially hard as a colleague shared they are 13 weeks in a meeting I was running (the normal avenue to share this news) and even through I had already figured it out I got all tounge tied and probably looked so odd!!
Anyways that's my emotional dump 😅 I'm using tempdrop so I'll pop my cycle & ovulation tests in the comments for any interested and bring on Aug 29th for testing day. Sending baby dust to you all ✨
