Day time naps

My baby girl is 6 weeks old. She sleeps so well during the night, no fuss and is now only waking up once for a feed!

Since she’s born she’s slept really good at night time but always wants contact naps during the day. Everytime I put her down she would wake it never worked.

But I feel like in the last week she’s struggling to settle even with contact naps. Takes her ages to settle like she’s fighting falling asleep.

Did anyone else experience this? Any advice?

Not much advice but I’m in the same boat at the moment, 7 weeks and fighting sleep in the day.

We find sometimes a cuddle helps and other times she wants to be in her swing left alone! She likes her joie swing and we put a car seat toy on the bar and i tied a black and white contrast toy banner on the side so she can look at it, i find that she sends herself to sleep after a while of looking at it.

Its almost like shes getting bored and has fomo lol x

We have the same with our 5 week old boy - he is a dream overnight with one wake up at the same time every night, but relentlessly fighting sleep during the day. He wakes up at 6:45/7 and then will remain awake until 1/2pm… I’ve found that going on a walk with him in a wrap settles him, but that’s about it! At least we’re getting the steps in 😅

Transitioning carrycot to seat (pram)

Hello, I am a first time mum and was wondering when mums moved their babies out of the carrycot to the seat? My baby girl loves to look out and be nosey.

Feeling down and defeated

I’m feeling some what down and think I’ve got postnatal depression. My 5 month old is just refusing to do anything but cry on me, not sleep or eat (he does have a clean nappy), and my partner pretty much treats me like I’m his maid and not his partner. I don’t feel at all happy with my life and I just feel stuck. I know I’m not being the best mother I can be but this has become my daily life now. I don’t know what to do. I really don’t want judgment but I’ve never felt so alone. I feel like the worst parent going.

Arm jerking, stiffening and discomfort

My 10 month old is constantly flailing her arms. She also thrusts her arms out in a jerking movement and stiffens her body. She has started to shout with it like shes in discomfort. My GP and the hospital just say its excitement or frustration. We are concerned there are most neurological issues that are not being taken seriously. Its hard to capture it on video as as soon as I get my phone out she stops! I have a few videos that show it well though.

She has had an EEG which was normal. This has been going for months now though....

Any one else's little one do this??

Mamia nappies - Cord cut out section?!

Just read the packaging on these nappies after using them for a few days and realised they're supposed to have a cord cut out section but they don't?
Am i missing something or are the three packs i've gone through all fibbing? My little one's cord is off now but is taking a while to heal so i've been stuck folding these down so they don't go over his button whilst it dries and heal properly, a cut out section would've been ideal
