Skipped nap

My little girl is 17 months and has skipped her nap today, she normally has 1 nap at approx 12:30/1pm for anywhere between 1-2 hours. She’s had a dodgy tummy today and has had 6 poops which I’m not sure is contributing to her being uncomfortable, but she’s refused her nap after I tried for approx 90 minutes 🙈
Her separation anxiety has seemed to have peaked and she’s becoming more challenging to put to sleep at night but once asleep she sleeps all night 7:30-6:30.
She seems fine in herself and seems to have gained a 2nd wind!
Just wondering if any one else has experienced skipped naps and if we’re heading in a downward spiral/sleep regression? X

Hey, my son is 17m and has started trying to skip naps too, found it really hard to get him to sleep for his nap recently. He’s always been a bad sleeper at night but never really had a problem with naps. I’ve found taking him for a drive and letting him fall asleep in the car has been the only way to get him to nap and if he doesn’t nap before 3pm I just don’t let him nap at all but then he’s stroppy all night so it’s not the best solution!

I feel your pain but have no suggestions unfortunately 🙈

I’m currently deep in the 18 month regression, my girl was born 24th Feb and it’s been 3 weeks of hell 🙈😂

So all i can say is - one nap won’t matter but might be th start to regression

Nappy bin

Are nappy bins actually worth it? Baby girl is due next month and I’m buying the last bits and bobs but I’ve heard mixed things about nappy bins! Would only be used in the bedroom to save me going up and down the stairs during the night but I’ve been told to save my money as I won’t actually use it that much?

Contact naps only?

Hello! My baby is 6 weeks old and she only gets sleep when she contact naps on either of our chest so my partner and I take turns sleeping at night. Everyone keeps telling me to be careful of her getting used to it but I don’t know how. There came a period when she slept in her cot but now as soon as I put her down, the Moro reflex kicks in a few times and she wakes up and we’re back to square one…any advice?

Breastfed bottle refusal

I haven’t used a bottle of breastmilk in months for my baby because I haven’t needed too. I wanted to see if he would still take it as I am away with him and my friends next month and fancied a drink. He has just completely rejected the bottle, the Philips Avent and also Mam bottle. I am trying him with an open cup for water but I know that takes a long time. I don’t go back to work until a few weeks before he turns 1 so he is going to need to take pumped breast milk from my husband before he can have cows milk drink at 1. I am thinking if he can use a cup he could have his milk from that. Has anyone got any advice or recommendations please?

Nursing Chairs

Hey everyone! I wonder whether I can get some people’s opinions on nursing chairs.. Are they worth it? Do you actually use them? ☺️

Lindsay Clancy

What does everyone think of the Lindsay Clancy trial? The whole trial has just had me in bits, for everyone involved. Being a mum and going through post partum struggles I do understand. And a lot of people will say ‘she killed her kids!’ Yeah, she did. But how many times did she reach out to people, her mum, her MIL, mental health workers, suicide line, mother and baby groups? Her search history was all about how to care for her kids and her kids! No one in the trial has a bad word to say about her. The whole story is sad and when you’ve been through needing help like that yourself you understand it more. I hope she gets the help she needs

Bassinet to pram

Has anyone transitioned their baby out of their bassinet to the pram? Not sure if too early?
