Do you use Detol?

Yep my mum had Dettol, she had a small metal dish that she'd put it in. The smell is something you can't quite forget 🤣

We use dettol antibacterial bar soap all the time

Leucillin antiseptic topical spray. To me, dettol is antibacterial cleaning spray

I use antibiotic ointment after cleansing with a saline solution. If it happened doing farm chores then I mix up Dakins solution instead of saline & I also keep 70:30 PGA water solution in my kitchen for sanitizing, if it’s a really light scrape, like a kitten or cat gets us a bit or our dog steps on our foot & scrapes us, we just grab my bottle & spray it a few times to both rinse & disinfect, keeps it from swelling. We’re all desensitized to cats, but a scratch will still give a bit of an allergic reaction, my dad always kept rubbing alcohol so I could avoid this as a kid & I’ve found that it works well, but my spray is just handy & rinses too.
We’re always covered in scrapes, scratches & cuts, but so far I’ve never had any get infected in 43yrs & neither have my kids, who are turning 5 & 17 next month. I’m pretty old school w/my methods bc it’s just easier to keep a supply that works safely for all species, like I only buy antibiotic ointment w/o pain relief.
