My partner and I are Scottish. Can any non Scots tell me if they could pronounce these names;
Caledonia
Ceilidh
Very Scottish names I’m in love with both my fiance hates Caledonia but I don’t know that anyone outside of Scotland will pronounce Ceilidh properly.

I'm English and know how to pronounce Ceilidh, but I have visited Scotland a lot and been to a couple of ceilidhs. I didn't know it could be used as a name! I wouldn't have thought people would mispronounce Caledonia?

Tbh…nope! I tried.
Kale-dohn-ee-ah?
Seal-ee-d?

Callie? Although Eilidh is more like hayley without the h... so is it Cayley?!

As a Scottish gal my self, I can already imagine the other bairns making jokes about "doing Ceilidh in gym". The lyrics to a Caledonia aren't much more lending to an easy life. Other braw Scottish names though could be Isla or Skye which might be harder to make up lewd jokes on the playground.

My instinct would be Cal-uh-don-ee-uh and Kayley

I know how to pronounce it but a long-term ex's family are Scottish, so that might be cheating.
I personally wouldn't use either words as names but if you do, I would get ready for yourself/your child to spend the rest of their life correcting people, explaining, having to spell their name out etc - Not saying this to be horrible, just from personal experience with a relatively easy birth name people still managed to mess up/get wrong until I legally changed it.

Beautiful name choices. I’m Scottish and can pronounce them fine. My name is Catriana and it’s pronounced Cat-ria-na but I get Catriona, Catroona Catrana so people will unfortunately say it wrong sometimes x
So lovely to see this little one wriggling around on screen with their arm and leg buds, what a relief!

Hii everyone, I’m feeling really confused and a little worried, so I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced something similar. My due date is 26th of this month.
Yesterday, I lost what I think was part of my mucus plug, and it was light brown. Today it was a little more and darker brownish. I’ve also been getting period-like cramps that come and go, but I have constant lower back pain that doesn’t seem to go away. My body feels very tired and achy, and if I walk more, the back pain gets worse.
I’m really confused about whether this could be the start of labour or just signs that my body is preparing. Has anyone experienced similar symptoms before labour started? How did you know it was actually labour? ❤️

Just wondering if anyone has been through this as the GP didn’t really know what to suggest. My abdomen is achey all the time (above my scar) and I have a winded feeling. It’s like I’ve been punched between my ribs at the top of my stomach. When I lay on my side it feels like a crushing, collapsing feeling internally, and flat on my back it’s actually quite hard to breathe. It’s way worse with exercise, even just being stood up too long it feels like my insides are heavy. Started around 3/4 weeks post c-section

Hey! First time mom here and I am trying to buy all the essentials. I was wondering if I need to buy any sleeping bags/ swaddles for wrapping the baby. Do you have any experiences around this?
Are you planing to have a sleeping bag for the baby in your hospital bag?
Thank you ❤️

Baby is 4.5 months old - was rolling over from tummy to back but has now mastered back to tummy.
But he can’t seem to put the two rolls together, so whenever he rolls onto his tummy he gets really frustrated and starts crying. I move him onto his back and he immediately rolls again to his tummy 😂 does anyone else’s baby do this? 😂
