Hii everyone, I’m feeling really confused and a little worried, so I wanted to ask if anyone has experienced something similar. My due date is 26th of this month.
Yesterday, I lost what I think was part of my mucus plug, and it was light brown. Today it was a little more and darker brownish. I’ve also been getting period-like cramps that come and go, but I have constant lower back pain that doesn’t seem to go away. My body feels very tired and achy, and if I walk more, the back pain gets worse.
I’m really confused about whether this could be the start of labour or just signs that my body is preparing. Has anyone experienced similar symptoms before labour started? How did you know it was actually labour? ❤️

Oh we have same due date but my baby boy made his appearance on 18th 🩵 and this sounds very like early labour hun. Are you timing the cramps and where do you feel them ? Xx

Hi Melissa thank you for your response 🥹 , happy for you nd ur boy ❤️
no I have not started timing the cramps, I have lower back pain and suddenly I get pain over the pelvic area lot of weight and pressure feeling over there as well. Which comes and goes !!!

You are so welcome! Thank you so much hun , really sounds like early labour and I would be timing them lovely, sounds like contractions x

Heyy, this is exactly how early labour started for me, then I gave birth around 26 hours later. I lost the mucus plus all day Monday 10th August, went into hospital to get checked out that evening. Got home early hours 11th with back pain. Woke up 04:50 11th with the start of rhythmic mild contractions, was in full labour later that day, waters went at 16:10 and gave birth at 03:32 12th August. Good luck! X

I went into triage due to these period like pains and back aches and I was told I was 1-2cm dilated (at 38 + few days). 8 DAYS later (39 weeks + 5 days) I saw a little blood with discharge once I got in the bath (it was a bit of the mucus plug). Went into triage again after seeing that and I was told I’m STILL 1-2cm after another cervix check. That check (fingers inserted) resulted in the rest of the mucus plug to come out so I believe that put me into labour. My waters broke 3 hours later and I gave birth 20 minutes after the waters broke. So yes! It could be the start of early labour. I was early labouring for almost 2 weeks before I actually gave birth and I didn’t even know half the time. Have you gone in to hospital yet with these symptoms?

It really does sound like it could be early labour! But I also wanted to add, first time mums (including myself) always ask whether they know it's real labour and the answer always seems to be 'you'll know'. And it is SO frustrating when you hear that, but it is very very true. You will definitely know when it's established labour! If I were you, I'd really focus on resting yourself up now, get comfortable, find something that makes you happy and really enjoy these days/hours 😊
my son doesn’t really have any baby friends. I’m hoping to make friends with some mums so they could come to his first birthday party with their babies in October… Cake toys games and music… I just want to make it a special day for him so he can have some buddies.. 💞

Hey! First time mom here and I am trying to buy all the essentials. I was wondering if I need to buy any sleeping bags/ swaddles for wrapping the baby. Do you have any experiences around this?
Are you planing to have a sleeping bag for the baby in your hospital bag?
Thank you ❤️

I don’t suppose anyone would know but I’ve got a pregnancy of unknown location.
I had across 2 days some brown discharge. I’d say a small amount every so often on a pad. I had one incident of wiping and there was liquidy brown discharge, a couple small string parts. Anyways, I went to the EPU yesterday and they couldn’t find anything on the scan. Said it could be miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy or just far too early. We think we might’ve conceived 2nd August even though my last period was 11th July so it could fit in with a very early pregnancy. My HCG came back as 98 yesterday but we have to do the second and pray it doubled and pray it’s a healthy pregnancy. Does anyone have any reassuring stories?

So lovely to see this little one wriggling around on screen with their arm and leg buds, what a relief!
