Hello ladies❤️ I’m posting this for some advice. I am a first time mom, 37 weeks pregnant, and had my GBS test done. Before my test my OBGYN was touching on my belly and did a minor vaginal exam. Throughout that time I was very uncomfortable because her hands were cold and I’m generally ticklish. I move alot and was moving during the vaginal exam because it was uncomfortable. My OB made a remark basically saying if I can’t handle the vaginal exam how will I be able to handle birth and it stuck with me.
Does anyone have any advice on how to minimize movement due to discomfort and remain calm during birth? I plan on getting an epidural. I don’t want my inability to remain still to mess anything up. No judgement please 🙏🏼

Ummmm they should never have said that to you!
Remaining calm is important for you during labour as much as you can anyway but I was allllllllll over the place during my labour 😂 I could barely stand a blood test but 'managed' 9hrs of back to back labour with no pain relief. I was up down, rolling over, bouncing etc...dont worry about it, by the time I had an epidural I had the same worry about moving but your birth partner and midwife can help you get into and stay in position.
I did a Hypno birthing course which was excellent for calm techniques!
There is no way to explain what happens during labour your body takes over and everyone is different but you will be fine and your midwife will help and guide you.
Things that helped me, breathing, music, scent but they all helped at different points, just shout out what you need and let everyone run around after you haha.
You've got this! X

I think the whole process of labor and delivery is a lot different than being felt up by a relative stranger. I had a c section and I shake when I’m nervous but this still did not interfere with the anesthesiologist being able to place the spinal. I had great nursing staff who held my hand and coached me through breathing. Then it was over before I knew it. People who say things like that are same who assume Pap smears should feel the same as sex. You’ll have so many hormones helping. Movement is actually incredibly benefit for progressing labor along. Your body was built for this.

As someone that’s had 3 natural births and only gas and air as pain relief, and due their 4th in February. You do move about while in labour and it’s completely normal, 1 your body is getting ready to push out an entire human being, 2 your trying to get comfortable and 3 you have no control how your body reacts during labour. So for them to say that they clearly have never had kids. You have got this and good luck , if you see her again before baby is born and she makes the same remarks I would be complaining
I’m currently 6 weeks postpartum and I’m finding myself mourning being pregnant. It’s making me want to start trying for another baby already when deep down I know this is way too soon and the reality of it being this soon just isn’t practical right now. I miss the bump, the kicks, the excitement of it all and growing a little baby. Has anyone else experienced this? I feel a little crazy!

Can anyone recommend any decent pregnancy pillows please? Had a good one for my son that was like a long sausage but I was gifted it by my ex MIL so I can't ask where she bought it

Once upon a time a man purposely planned to get me pregnant and not have things work out just so he could have a child and his mom a grand kid and to make my life hell with threatening court. The end.
I’m excited for this baby but also dreading it.😭

Hello, I’m currently 27 weeks pregnant and have felt anxious the whole way through however it is getting worse.
Its draining me constantly thinking something is wrong when everything is perfectly and my baby is healthy.
I had a scan today and even after they told me everything is perfect i still cant shake this fear that there is something wrong.
Did anyone else suffer with this? If so what did you do to help?
Thankyou
