This is so embarrassing but I’m struggling. My 6 month old won’t let me put him down, cries when I walk away and it’s really taking a toll on me. Any advice?

Separation anxiety peaks around this time, I’ve heard. And it depends on temperament. My daughter is this way too. Trying to soak in the snuggles and remind myself it’s a season. I know that doesn’t always feel helpful tho. The days are heavy. I hope you find a remedy that works for you and your little love.

i was really struggling with this with my 6 mon old daughter, i realized i never really did any activities with her that i was not holding her , so i started doing floor time with her and playing with her but making sure she was in her own seat , then did jumper time while sitting next to her on the couch for awhile while still staying engaged , and did those thing until i finally could walk away from the area and she wouldn’t scream and now plays completely independently sometimes 20/40 minutes at a time . obviously everyone is different but she really enjoys getting up in the morning and doing a little play session in her room , i made it into a routine and like that she knows what’s to expect everyday! wish you luck! you’re doing great!

I second this when does it normally get better? I have twins and they feed off each other's energy.
I’m at my wits end. My 6 month old is waking every 1-2 hours needing a feed (breastfed and refuses a bottle) and my toddler is waking for hours on end in the night and will only settle for me. I’m getting to the point of having 2-3 hours of broken sleep a night for the past week and I’m really really struggling. My husband says it’s got to the point we just need to let them both cry but my baby is only 6 months and my toddler is just waking the baby up anyway crying and will just run around upstairs . He won’t settle for dad at all. We don’t have a village and there’s nobody who can help me out during the day to look after them to let me sleep. I just don’t know what to do. I’ve tried just letting my toddler come into our bed but he just lies awake and says he wants to go back to his bed. Tried sleeping in his toddler bed but then the baby wakes for a feed. My husband also hates this as he thinks it’s creating a bad sleep association and making the problem worse long term. Really don’t want to co sleep with 6 month old as we both move around lots in our sleep and I would be too scared . Does anyone have any advice that isn’t co sleeping?

I currently have the Joie i360 spin that’s on the isofix and can’t be removed. Absolute bane of my life switching it between cars because it’s soooo heavy and the seatbelt straps are constantly twisting. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone! We’re now in need of a second car seat for nursery drop offs and pick ups so I finally get to fob this car seat off to my partner who will use it less and I want a new one for my car lol.
Would anyone recommend their car seat that’s suitable for 1 year old (and preferably for a long time as want to be sustainable and not constantly replacing things) but that’s also suitable/recommended from newborn up too as would like to keep for baby number 2 in the next couple years. TIA
Photo of cute baby feet in said car seat so post hopefully doesn’t get lost lol.

Me before my first baby: I would NEVER sleep train
Me with my first baby who slept through the night from 10 weeks old: I don’t know how anyone could ever sleep train 😇
Me with my second baby who still wakes every single 45 minutes - 1hr at 8mo : 😵💫😵💫😵💫 googles “gentlest sleep training methods”
Anyone else? (We have tried EVERYTHING by the way, every dang thing).

Does anyone have any experience with habits formed during the 4 month sleep regression phase?
My LO is going through the 4 month sleep regression, but tbh I think it’s over now? She was going through it for a good few weeks, and these past 4 days I’ve been co-sleeping with her. Coincidentally in these last few days she’s been sleeping longer stretches also. So I’m not sure if it’s the co-sleeping or if it’s the regression being over. Her daytime naps are contact naps and they’re still pretty short (45 mins).
I’m worried that if the regression is over, have I created a habit for her of co-sleeping. Will she now only sleep long stretches unless she’s sleeping next to me?
Anyone else had a similar experience and can offer any advice?

I am an Aunty to many children mostly 10 and upwards now so I've cared for many babies and children but having my first child (who is almost 1 and I am turning 38 soon), I have just found it quite full on. Newborn days were a breeze but as days have gone on I guess with lack of sleep post 8 months I feel like it's impacting my mental health and I think these three meals a day and caring for everybody and lack of sleep. I don't know if I can do this all over again for another child. I want to be one and done but I want him to have a sibling so when we are no longer here he has someone not just his cousins.
Let me preface this by saying I know everyone's circumstances is different but I just wondered if anyone else felt similar before going on to have more children and coped OK?
