Would you be ok with your friend telling off your child?
Me and my son went out with a friend of mine the other day but it got to a point where he started getting restless so he was having tantrums and generally being quite misbehaved. Obviously I would do my usual disciplinary stuff when he behaves like this but my friend decided she wanted to step in and started telling him off. She was raising her voice (which I don't normally do often unless I'm really pissed off). At that point I told her to stop and she got offended. But I don't think it's right to raise your voice at someone else's child especially when the behaviour is normal toddler tantrums.

If my son is misbehaving and I'm not present ofc I would want them to tell him off, weather it's normal toddler tantrums or not

If your child's behaviour was directed at their child I would understand. But to try and discipline your child for a tantrum is overstepping.
it's not about the telling off it's her raising her voice to the point she was shouting at him
she doesn't have any kids. He was just tired so was being defiant. I definitely think she was overstepping the boundaries by raising her voice
I can absolutely micromanage the way someone talks to MY child. If I myself don't shout at my child how can I allow someone else to? If you don't mind people shouting at your child then that's you 😂
My 5 week old seems so unhappy. I don’t understand whats wrong. She hates being put down. She sleeps fine for the first half of the night, after her night feed she spends the next 3 hours grunting and squirming. She will have a bottle then squirms and cries after it, but not always. I feel like i’m failing her.

I guess I am not going incognito because if anyone wanted to reach out they could
Throughout my current relationship (4.5years) it has been made clear to me that i have a lot of unattractive and difficult traits. I guess prior to meeting my partner I just believed I was just how I was? I had never done "deep inner work" " spiritual work" "self improvement" i had done it professionally and i guess i had phases where physically i did better but ultimately I have been told and i do see a lot of it that i find it hard to say sorry, to take accountability, i feel constantly attacked and offended and any conflict does make me most of the time walk out or say i need space i find it so over whelming.
Im currently having my 3rd baby in 3.5years and my son (2yrs2mo) had a liver transplant when he was 7mo old so a lot of hospital time, also my partner had a long long history of drug addiction which he overcame but he has not worked 95% of our relationship, i did before my 1st and 2nd but not since my son was diagnosed at 7wks old.
Im asking for maybe someone somewhere for advice or a chat, i keep feeling like im a narcissist, a bad mom a bad partner, i feel like my family are better off without me sometimes YET i have always tried so so hard to keep our whole life together shielding my family from any outside shit and ive handled every prescription/appointment, i do 99% of the housework and cooking, im not in contact with family and i cut off all my old friends pretty much then moved 4hrs away so no social support
Is anyone hearing this?
Thanks fran x

When did your babies become happier ( if they were a fussy baby).
My baby just seems unhappy a lot of the time, if he’s not asleep or feeding he’s usually fussy and crying.
He has moments where he’s calm and engaging and it’s lovely but mainly he does just seem unhappy.
Does it get better? He’s 9 weeks old.

My baby girl is only a week old, so I understand this post may seem silly!
However, during the nights, I’m finding it difficult to transfer her back to her crib after getting her back to sleep following a nappy change and bottle. She stays on me for a good 20-30mins (if not, sometimes longer) after her feed so I know she’s in a deep sleep. As soon as I move her to her crib, she wakes up immediately and cries. My heart absolutely aches for her because I love the contact naps, but last night I could feel myself nodding off with her on my chest so I know I can’t safely allow her to do it during the night. During the day she’s absolutely fine. Does anyone have any advice on what may help, please?
She hates the swaddle haha, my scent is on her sheet, I soothe her when I put her down…I’ve done pretty much all the tricks that I’ve read upon!
I know it may seem silly considering her age, but I’m thinking from a safety perspective and would appreciate any advice!
Thank you in advance :) x

My 5.5 month old only does 10 hours over night, if she goes to bed at 7 she gets up at 5. She’s ready to go to sleep at that time, but if she does the following day she’s ready for bed at 5/6. She’s transitioning from 4-3 naps but she tends to do shorter naps early on in the day and a longer nap later. I have to contact nap for every single one, and co-sleep at night. If I try to leave her she wakes up. I get no time in the evenings with her dad at the moment and I just don’t know how to get her into a better routine. These early mornings and 1 hour (if I’m lucky) of seeing my partner at night are killing me.
