When did everyone have inductions?
My midwife says she’ll book me in for one at 41+6 because I want to try get her to come naturally but after some research apparently each day after your due date that you want to be induced poses more risk of still birth 😕 now I’m thinking 41+6 is too late…. X

I was induced at 38+2 and went in for c section at 38+4 as for me the induction stressed baby too much and they had concerns (please note this is not common).
I was very happy with the induction and c section and baby came healthy and no complications at all.
If you feel you’ll be concerned with each day after due date then I’d say book in for induction a day after due date as labour can take a couple of days in itself and at least you’ll have the peace of mind knowing with induction a day after your due date baby will come not too long after and you’ll be more comfortable x

I went in to be induced, started feeling contraction on the day. As my water didn’t break or my contraction were consistent they started the process. Not even 4 hours in the stopped and could see I was in labour. This was about 38+6. Didn’t give birth til Sunday. So I was in hospital for 3 days before birth.

The people I know who had inductions didn't go very well and led to a lot of interventions, long waits, 3 day labour and emergency c sections. I think it's best to wait, really. As long as you don't pass 42 weeks baby should be fine, you be have a lot of observation in that time.

Hi all, I just wanted to sense check I am getting the most out of my midwife appointment. Currently 31 weeks with my first baby, so it could be my own misconceptions about what actually happens at these appointments. But I feel overall very clueless, my appointments feel the same urine/blood test, hear thr heartbeat, do you feel safe at home, see you next time.
I thought we would have more discussions about things I should be knowing like vitamins, top tips, feeding/birthing plans, dos and donts etc. Everything I have learnt is from Google (not always the most trusted source). Happy to hear your experiences or if I have just built in image up in my head which isn't realistic!

I find myself apologising constantly for not being able to work with this morning sickness and nausea.
