How is it that most people’s toddlers/young children at the playground seem to have the cleanest clothes?! LOL (My child is 4 1/2 for reference)

I swear my child’s clothes managed to get stained the day they wear their new clothes. Somebody fill me in on the secret. & do you guys iron their clothes before you go out or do you iron them all at once? Why is everybody’s kid looking so damn neat lol I try really hard and barely have enough time for everything, but man ironing an outfit is just so much extra time that I don’t want to spare even though I do sometimes.

Also, what laundry detergent/hacks are we using to get rid of stains?

Another thought, I’m wondering if a lot of you moms are just buying brand new clothes often and just throwing out the stained clothes? Also, do you have play clothes specific for the playground and then have them change right away if they go to the library or to stores before or after? I’m so embarrassed when I get my toddler dressed all clean and nice and then she’s covered in chocolate and snack debri and her hair is a mess when I leave the gym as if I don’t bring her to the gym daycare looking clean and taken care of lol

Usually if my son looks clean and nice it’s because he hasn’t eaten in them yet lol

People iron their kids' clothes?

Crease release spray (or at least the bottle) is my bestfriend as I hate ironing - the night before I spray everything and shake it then they’re crease free by the morning. I just reuse the same bottle, filling it up with water and a little fabric softener so it smells nice too :) a febreeze bottle works well too

My son wears a lot of white tops, and I do replace them relatively regularly maybe every 3ish months - the stained ones end up becoming clothes that we go to the park etc in then I keep the cleaner ones for family days out etc

I use Dawn dish soap to get stains out. It’s magic lol. Also I don’t iron them but I do steam them.

For stains, I’ve recently discovered that “Elbow Grease” Spray works amazing! Spray it on, leave it for 10 then put it in the machine with the rest of your washing!

I made this lil concoction of dish soap and some white vinegar that I use on stains.
We have play clothes.
He wears uniform to school, I’ll admit I iron them. But it only takes me a few mins and I do it when I’m ironing my clothing for work the night before. If it’s a special event, I’m def ironing his clothes as needed.

I will bleach anything that has a stain on it because it’s either gonna have a stain on it or bleach splotches. Either way ruined. 99% of the time it comes out perfectly clean

I throw anything that is wrinkled in the dryer for 5 minutes. I don’t iron for anything less than a special occasion.

Nappy changing help

So we only have this problem at night and it’s only a recent thing. So my son has been feeding a lot at night. Every 2 hours or so and completely emptying both sides before going back to sleep. This means his nappies at every wake up are extremely full. Every time I change him he pees or there is so much in the nappy it ends up all over his back and I have to change his clothes. I have tried a tissue over, I’ve tried putting the new nappy on and pulling the old one from under it (I guess like the knicker trick some of you may have done as kids) and it is still everywhere. I’m already exhausted getting up so often and having to do a full clothing change at night is a nightmare… please help!
