Nappy changing help

So we only have this problem at night and it’s only a recent thing. So my son has been feeding a lot at night. Every 2 hours or so and completely emptying both sides before going back to sleep. This means his nappies at every wake up are extremely full. Every time I change him he pees or there is so much in the nappy it ends up all over his back and I have to change his clothes. I have tried a tissue over, I’ve tried putting the new nappy on and pulling the old one from under it (I guess like the knicker trick some of you may have done as kids) and it is still everywhere. I’m already exhausted getting up so often and having to do a full clothing change at night is a nightmare… please help!

Hey, have you tried sizing up a nappy for bedtime. It’s like wearing a nighttime pad during your period x

We had this same problem when my little boy was a few months old & I think it was because the smaller Aldi nappies just aren’t as absorbent. We ended up buying a separate brand of nappies with higher absorbency to use for nighttime, we landed with Amazons own but now back to using Aldi nappies only as the bigger sizes seem to be okay for nighttime!

I’ve also seen a theory that when babies get a little chilly their nappies leak more, not sure on the science and haven’t tested it myself but thought it was worth mentioning!

You could consider using a wet wipe just under belly button before opening nappy and leaving him for another fews mins that could encourage him to pee in the nappy before you change it. I also use square cotton pads over at every nappy change, its bit more absorbent then tissue so will catch any wee if he does anything. Also change nappy before feeds if full or halfway thru a feed before he swaps sides to see it that helps contain it

You could put a nappy on and a pull up over the top so the leg bands stay closer to the skin and its a second layer of protection 🤷🏼‍♀️

5yo daughter needing deodorant?

Seeing if others have experienced this with their kids. My daughter needs deodorant, I don’t remember using it that young. Is that normal? I’ve used mine on her a few times, the native brand, works great! Wondering what non toxic aluminum free kid brands people would recommend ✨

Bath time nightmare

Hi everyone, I need some advice please. So we used to live in a flat where it only had a shower so we used those foldable tubs to give our baby baths. We used to lay him back and rinse his head. We now moved to a different house with a bath tub. Everytime it’s time to shampoo his hair, he starts crying. He doesn’t like water over his face. How can I rinse the shampoo off his head. He literally screams the place down.

Tips for sleep…

My 3 week old takes at least 1-2hrs to fall back asleep after her midnight feed, any tips to get her to sleep quicker? I rock her til my arms fall off, she doesn’t give a shit about white noise and startles herself awake a lot 😩 and any tips on transferring her to her cot without her waking up cos her sweaty head was sticking to my arm would be grand too! Thank you. ❤️
