my partners son has come down for the week, he’s almost 6 and still in a high back booster, is this normal? the straps are so so tight on him we struggle to get him in and out and i’m worried it’s squeezing his privates, he is also complaining of it being so uncomfortable. are we able to put him in a booster seat?

Hes definitely old enough to use the adult seat belt with his high back booster. You should either be able to remove the harness or tuck it away.
You will probably find he is over the weight to use the harness

He needs to use that seat without the harness, I highly doubt he is still within the limits of the harness.
He’s not ready for a small booster seat x

This is not a high backed booster this is a forward facing harnessed seat. I agree he's likely over the weight limit for this harness (it's usually 18kg). A HBB uses the adult seat belt. Please don't use a backless booster they're almost as bad as using nothing at all. Which seat is this? Can the harness be tucked away so it can be used as a HBB with the adult belt?

My 6 year old is in a high back booster exactly like this but we use the normal seat belt. There is no way the harness seatbelt would fit her!

I’d probably ask his mum before you do anything like that. Car seat safety is key.

This is a convertible seat that you’re currently using as a forward facing harnessed seat, not as a high backed booster.
Removing the harness and using the seat with the adult seatbelt will make it a high backed booster, which is what he needs.
If by ‘put him in a booster seat’, you mean a little one that’s like a cushion then no he’s far too small
So we only have this problem at night and it’s only a recent thing. So my son has been feeding a lot at night. Every 2 hours or so and completely emptying both sides before going back to sleep. This means his nappies at every wake up are extremely full. Every time I change him he pees or there is so much in the nappy it ends up all over his back and I have to change his clothes. I have tried a tissue over, I’ve tried putting the new nappy on and pulling the old one from under it (I guess like the knicker trick some of you may have done as kids) and it is still everywhere. I’m already exhausted getting up so often and having to do a full clothing change at night is a nightmare… please help!

How many of you have the owlet sock or something similar?
My girls 14 weeks and I haven’t gotten one due to them being so expensive, and she’s been absolutely fine, her last injections are next week as well until she gets them when she’s 1yr old. I just feel there’s too much anxiety about what’s right and stuff, I’m a first time mum and I just want my girl safe
