I start a job on 7th September, when I accepted the job I was not pregnant, but now when I start I’ll be 7 weeks. When is the best time to tell them? I know I don’t legally for a while, but am I better protected if I tell them sooner for doctors appointments and scans?

I’d probably tell them fairly early, but only when you feel comfortable — perhaps after your first scan. ❤️ You don’t have to tell them immediately, and you’re still protected from pregnancy discrimination from the start of your employment; however, once they know, it’s easier to arrange time off for antenatal appointments and scans. So if you’re happy to share it, telling them after your first scan could be a nice middle ground: you’ve had a little time to settle into the job, but they know early enough to support you.

NHS recommendation that you can tell the employer 15 weeks before your due date, so you'll have plenty of time to tell your employer and you can assess your current pregnancy progress x

I have had horrible sickness from week 5 of the pregnancy so I decided to tell my employer at week 6 which I know is super early but I work as a teacher so needed the extra support. I did work at the school for 2 years at the time which is different to your situation. It is completely your choice when you tell your employer but I found in my situation it was really helpful with arranging doctors appointments etc due to the sickness that was also the time we were assembling GCSE classes and timetable for the following year so I wanted to make sure they do not assign me to any new classes as I wouldn't be there! X maybe see how you go- if you feel unwell or feel like you need extra support might be worth telling them sooner if you feel ok then might be good to wait till after your first scan, this way you will be able to provide your employer with due date etc and will give you time to wrap your head around the new job and the pregnancy x

My husband is a manager at a company and I've just asked him. He says if you have a probation period tell them after that. But he also said don't tell them before you've started because they could pull the job and tell you it's no longer available.

I'm 9 days post csection and I'm wondering if my weight-loss is normal. I was 10st 10 before baby. 12st 8 just before having her and now I'm 11st 4. Is this rapid weight loss normal? I have health anxiety so worried its too much too quick 🙈 I was not expecting it to fly off like this.

Hiya.
I’ll be 8 weeks on Monday and I’m already considering a pregnancy cushion for comfort during sleep. I’ve already been tossing and turning so much at night and have a habit of ending up of my stomach. Last night I pulled a muscle in my neck and I’m now in agony probably for a few days and have a toddler to look after 😭 is it too early for a pregnancy pillow… would you consider it silly to get one now?

So I'm on my third baby. We have a almost five year old, and a nineteen month old.
We are due December 23rd and have been excited to celebrate our Christmas baby. 👶 🎄
I've been trying to share the excitement with my mom but I'm feeling like my mom isn't really caring about this baby. She seems seriously discouraged and like my being almost 24 weeks doesn't matter to her. 😞 It really makes it hard to feel excited for this baby when an important person in your life seems to care less.
She seems more concerned about my sister and not seeing my younger sister.
Anyone else have something similar?

Hey guys found out i’m pregnant 8 months post C-section but am scared as fuck, will I be considered high risk since I got pregnant before the 12months mark and did any of you have a normal pregnancy incase you experienced what I’m experiencing right now
Scared I might get a rupture and did any of you have an early scan just to see if the pregnancy is not near the scar
