Do you yell at your kids?

I grew up in a Hispanic household and yelling was normal. Now having children of my own I feel bad when I yell at them, but also feel it’s necessary when I’ve tried the calm way. Just wondering if it’s “ normal” or definitely something I need to correct.

I also grew up in a Hispanic household where yelling/ being loud was the norm. Just because it’s common doesn’t mean it’s okay. Now as an adult I’ve noticed how it has contributed to my anxiety. I’m striving to not create that type of environment for my children.

There was a time as a kid where I stole, lied, acted out to “get back” at my parents over trivial things that seemed huge to me . I would absolutely yell at me and even pop me on the hands/mouth for acting that way. I still remember why I did the things I did, the rush, the lie ready to go before I was even caught. Not finishing my meal, knocking a cup of juice over, struggling on my school work. Now those were things i did not need to get yelled at for.

I still do quite some yelling, but I am improving my self control. I know it’s not helpful to yell, and I want my children to be choosing to listen and do the right thing, not to do it because of fear. But it of course is hard to develop the skills you weren’t taught as a child now

Definitely was being tested last night 😅

Was trying to decide yesterday if I'm definitely okay with only having 2 kids and should send my husband to the gp to discuss his vasectomy as planned or if i will want to have more kids (was fully going down the maybe i could try one more time for a vbac rabbit hole and thinking about how I always wanted a sister and maybe i could try give my daughter one instead, i was thinking about what names work well with Ronan and Melissa etc) but then Ro started vomiting last night and my husband and I had to divide and conquer and man I feel like ive been hit by a truck 🙈😅 i don't know how those of you with more than 2 kids do this 😬😬😬 whoever oversees humanity was definitely listening to me yesterday and thought okay girl I'm just going to give you a little reality check here

Someone be my eyes!

I took tests this morning (I am around 11DPO) and one was slow to start so I took another one. One looks negative and the slow one looks positive? I will retest tomorrow but I’m confused now. Also what are the best early tests because I’m finding these Amazon ones hard to read.

This is the one that was slow to start

Hey,
Has anyone had the mirena coil fitted post baby and had any issues?
I felt for a few weeks it’s not been right and told it was just adapting to it (had on prior to baby for 9+ years so I knew this was aloud of rubbish) but the coil has come out.
If been told by the dr who inserted it that it’s normal for it to come out post baby but I feel it’s a cop out 🙄

Donor Baby💕

Hi. My beautiful baby girl Brinley is nearly 4 months old. Me and my partner (trans male) conceived her via donor. Our donor is half Argentinian and half Israeli. We want to find the best way to bring her up, knowing about her culture but without being insensitive as we wont ever know what its like to grow up mixed race.
I welcome any and all advice (as long as its brought with kindess)

Anonymous as not told anyone yet

Did anyone have really dark lines on their positive tests pretty early? With my first 2 the lines were pretty faint and I was around 6 weeks when I found out. I’m pregnant again really quickly and the tests I’ve been doing are really dark already but if my last period was actually a period, I’d only be around 4 weeks when I done the tests
