Nausea in healthcare

Any pregnant moms work in healthcare? I’m a dental hygienist at 8 weeks and struggling with how to professionally handle nausea and new overwhelming smell sensitivities while working. Any tips to help? I can’t hide too strong of smells in my mask to distract since patients would notice. I’ve been trying Morning Sickness Sweets by Pinkstork which have mildly been taking the edge off, but would love to get more advice or recs.

Girl yes I just stopped going to work at 9 weeks. I couldn’t take it. I’m almost 15 weeks now, so I could use some advise as well as I need to go back to work soon.

I had to tell my boss at 7 weeks so that I could step away to manage my sickness or so I could eat as I worked - I work in pharmacy so a little more relaxed than a dental practice though

I woke up with horrible nausea in the first trimester. Some saltines to start the day and as needed helped. I also loved the preggy pop drops that are more or less sour candy. They helped so much! Ginger candy can work as well. Sniffing an alcohol swap can also significantly reduce nausea and would be easy to hide in a mask or your pocket.

I was working in Veterinary Healthcare while I was pregnant and it was AWFUL. I was extremely sick my entire pregnancy. EVERYTHING made me vomit. I would have to step out and had to get a lot of help from co-workers on things I would usually do myself because I just couldn't handle doing anything with any smells or I would vomit everywhere 😫

C-section & apron belly

Any fellow Mumma’s with a slight apron belly and a csection scar? Im 12 weeks pp and I’m really struggling with irritation and pain especially when the weather is warmer. By the end of the day it’s so sore. I look after the area keeping it clean and dry it just feels like a rubbing sensation which is really irritating and hurting the area throughout the day. Any tips to avoid this or stop this? Anything I can use or do?

Back to back

Hi Ladies

Just been told by my midwife baby is back to back (I’m 35 weeks) she said that’s unlikely to change at this stage but what I’ve researched says different. Anyone else had this and baby has moved into the correct position?

I’m going to be doing exercises to try and help him move etc

Labour starting 🤞

I’m 39+2, I had the worst pressure down there last night and then didn’t sleep well at all last night due to some really weird dreams and terrible backache and since I got up I have contractions every 5 or 10 minutes. Feels very real now!
No waters breaking yet or mucus plug though.

Twitching

Baby is nearly 6 weeks old and I’ve noticed this week a few twitches in deep sleep, it’s only ever 2-3 twitches in her arms and legs me being me googled and that obviously tells you the worst. I never noticed it until now. It’s never happened while she’s sleeping on us on car seat or bassinet. It’s only happened 3 times on separate occasions. Today I held her hands and she did it once or twice more before stopping but don’t know if I didn’t hold her firmly enough as we were driving and could obviously pick her up. Please give some advice for an anxious mother😭
