First scan

So I went for my first viability scan thinking I was about 6 weeks and 2 days. She said it’s measuring 1.3mm and we saw a heartbeat!! But she thinks I’m under 6 weeks pregnant because of how small it is. I don’t really get it though because I know when I ovulated🤣 any thoughts? So much anxiety has been lifted since I’ve seen this wow. Think I’ll go back at 9 weeks!

Mine didn't line up with my ovulation date at my first scan, but had caught up by the time I went for another at about 10 weeks. Scans are usually accurate to within about 3 days - the margins are so tiny at this stage! :)

Hey! I was the same! I’m measuring under 6 weeks and it was 3mm but my app tracking said I was 7 weeks 😂 it’s confusing because the app was so spot on with everything else including ovulation days!

Apps usually date you from the LMP date (last menstrual period) so if you ovulate on day 14 then technically LMP dated will be 2 weeks ahead. Am I understanding that correctly?

When I went with my daughter they told us we were nearly a week behind what we though, then at my 12 week scan was 5 days ahead of what we though. So don’t worry too much

I went for my scan on 30th at 6+2 (I have very regular cycles, I’m certain of my ovulation dates and had a positive test at 10 dpo so it can’t be late ovulation or implantation for me) but baby measured 3.34mm which they dated at 5+4. They said they’re not worried and it’s normal to measure behind at this early stage, but I was still kind of worried because I’m so certain of my dates. I’m going back for a rescan on 16th x
