Struggling with overthinking and not feeling myself at 17 weeks

I’m 17 weeks and having a bit of an emotional week accompanied by a lot of overthinking 🥲

I’m a FTM and for the last couple of weeks I’ve really been struggling with having no sex drive and feeling like I’m neglecting my partner because of it. On top of that, I just don’t feel particularly attractive at the moment. I don’t really know how to dress my changing body and I’m struggling with not quite feeling like myself as everything changes.

I’ve also started worrying a lot about how the dynamic of our relationship might change once the baby is here and what it will mean for us as a couple. You see and hear so much about relationships struggling after having a baby, and I think I’ve got myself into a bit of an overthinking spiral about it.

I’m so happy and excited to have our little baby and feel incredibly lucky, which then makes me feel guilty for having all these negative thoughts and worries at the same time. I just can’t seem to get myself out of this headspace at the moment.

Any reassuring words or experiences from anyone who’s felt similarly would really be appreciated 🥲🤍

My Feb 2027 baby will be our second.
I won’t lie, things do change, but that doesn’t mean they change for the worse!
Our sex life changed considerably, a) recovering from a vaginal birth, b) low labido from hormones, c) tiredness, d) we coslept with my daughter and I didn’t want to leave her for a long time even if we were just in the next door room.
You find other ways of being affectionate!
In terms of your sex drive now, is it the idea of full on sex? Or all of it? We didn’t have sex much in pregnancy because of discomfort my end but also I believe my partner did just find it all a bit much and that’s okay! Talk to each other, see where you stand, have a good cry if you need it!

I feel you. I’m 16 weeks and FTM too. I’ve prayed for this day to come but now I’m pregnant I worry so much and I think about all that will change after baby comes. I even think about things like we won’t be able to do just couple things / holidays with just us 2 for a long while. But I think these are all natural things. Yes sex life / drive will reduce naturally but down to you both to try keep up the excitement somehow. I think it’s so important to not forget that part of the relationship too. But yes cry if you need to, journal , talk to your besties and also your partner ! We are bringing a blessing into this world and I’m sure once they’re here it’ll all be worth it x

Pregnant again at 35 😅

We have two babies currently 9 and 2.5. We decided to try for another and somehow it only took one try and it worked lol. I’m still praying for a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby. My last pregnancy I had preeclampsia and he was born 6w early, but I was at least 60 pounds heavier at the START of my pregnancy so I’m hoping being healthier this time around will help. I’ve taken 3 tests, they’ve all been positive. I’m very excited but ugh I’m soooo olddddd

Baby dropped at 34 weeks

This is a question more for the moms who have had a baby before I guess. Recently had a growth scan because my belly started measuring two weeks behind. Turns out he is just engaged in my pelvis which skewed the measurement... which I could have told them based on all the pressure lol. They said it doesn't mean he's coming super early or anything, but then I've also read that they tend to come 2 to 4 weeks after dropping. And he has felt this low since about 32 weeks. Im due Oct 15 and hoping to go all the way, so just wondering if any moms remember their babies staying dropped for several weeks?

Anything?

I'm obviously going to keep testing, but I keep thinking I can see a second line on both, then I change my mind again!
