What are your thoughts on combined birthday parties? I am planning a 1st birthday party for my youngest but my other child just started school and wanted a party so he can invite his friends. The problem is their birthdays are 10 days apart. I don’t really want to do back to back weekends (I know I will probably have a to do in the future). My son is turning 6. How would you combine the parties without his friends feeling obligated to get the 1 year old a gift? How would you combine them without making the 6 year old feel left out? What time would you have the party? I was thinking like 1pm-5pm and slitting the time like the first half is one party and the second half the other one. Where people can come and go whenever. I already have the theme for the 1st birthday and my son is actually surprisingly excited about it.

Do the first half of the day for 6, as 1 won’t know either way. So 1-2:30/3 for 6 y/o wirh bouncy castle or whatever you were thinking cake party bags etc. then after for 1!

I’m all for combined parties when they actually make sense, but it really depends on a few factors! For one, my older child is very opinionated, so she’d probably insist on having her own party—though if she was cool with combining, I’d go for it.
Timing is everything, too. I'd lean toward an afternoon slot since I'm a morning person and like to keep things aligned with our schedule, but you also have to work around the toddler's nap time so the baby doesn't get fussy. Venue plays a huge role as well.

Sorry I didn’t finish my message got distracted, but I’d do 6 y/o then anyone who is family / wants to stick around for 1 y/o then do the second half for 1. That way 6 has had lots of attention, cake, presents to open etc and will feel okay with the next 2 hrs being about 1 y/o. Hope that makes sense!
Feel like I’m fully in the trenches with this gas pain, my stomach is so noisy and painful, I do not remember this type of pain after my first. I had my section on Friday afternoon and the last 6 hours have been horrid.
Anyone have any tips? Or just tell me it gets better🥲

Hiya ladies I’ve been in hospital since around Thursday night as came in with contractions turns out I was only 1 cm but at that time I wasn’t contracting so regularly however a few hours later going into Friday morning contractions became extreme and way more regular so they kept me in since my first cervical exam they haven’t examined me so not sure where I am at now but contractions are not as intense but I still have a hard stomach hopefully I can go back home today if Labour hasn’t progressed
Any advice on what I should do and how to dilate more

Hi just looking to see if anyone else has had this before, so I’m 37 weeks and 2 days today and for the past couple of days I’ve not been feeling great lots of lower back ache and some period like pains but also some strange feelings like I feel hungry but don’t want to eat anything! And just overall just don’t feel right in myself.
Then since yesterday evening after going for a wee and wiping the tissue been like a pale pink/yellow colour but not like discharge just watery. Could someone please help me do you think it’s early labour or possibly an infection? I’ve added a picture so you can see what I mean ☺️

Like would everyone think I named my baby after the character in that show? Kind of like how every Arya is giving GoT

I am 31 weeks and 4 days, my mucus plug left 3/4 days ago i have not been feeling too well for past 5-6 days now. I have had a feeling something isnt right and something is going to happen! Now baby is all good and active and shes been normal. Last night i noticed clear and none smell liquid (thinking my waters) leaking. Any how i go and ring triage and get told to go in, get there monitor baby and shes happy. I then get told theyre going to do a swab for my waters and thrush as i have had thrush before. Dr comes and does a speculum just looks says cervix is intact and just looking im happy for you to go home. Then asked if i have a history of thrush she then just gets a swab and shuvs it in me that came back fine not thrush i then get sent home.
Something doesn’t sit right with me though. My mucus plug or what i think was left me then im leaking clear water so obviously i am thinking shit my waters have gone but dr’s talking to me like a child send me home gone through 2 sanitary towels (thick ones) in 5 hours (maximum) but apparently thats ‘normal’ because my cervix is normal. My gut feeling is saying go back but i am annoyed at how they was speaking to me. I am 21 years old and i know my body and i know something isnt feeling right at all.
What do i do because i dont want to go back and feel like i have wasted another journey as it really upset me thinking about it but i dont know what to do at all now.

I’m only 26 weeks but felt a small pop and a little bit of gushing.
Pants are wet but not terribly soaked. I am having cramping though. I’m almost positive it’s not urine as I had went to the bathroom only 5 min prior.
How much fluid would there be if it was my water breaking?
