Hello mamas,
I just wanted to ask for advise really.. from the mothers who got more than 1 baby.
So we are thinking about 2nd baby 🙈 plan would be to start trying in the few months so if everything goes well by the time 2nd baby will come into the world, baby number 1 would be 2 years old.
Originally we wanted 2-3 years gap but I’m 32 this month and I’m little bit worried about being ‘too old’ 🫠
What are the pros and cons having babies with such a ‘small’ gap between?
Would you recommend it?
What challenges we will definitely go through?
Thank you! x

Im pregnant with our second baby, the age gap would be around 15-16 months between them so quite a small age gap. We both decided on how nice it would be for them to grow up with each other, especially so close in age there more likely to be into similar things and planning things for the family would be so much easier, definitely like a little best friend relationship for them both! The older one could always get involved with the baby to build a stronger bond and so they wouldn’t feel left out. It definitely seems like it’s gonna be hard juggling a toddler and then a newborn at the same time but despite that when you get into bed at the end of the day you wouldn’t change it. I’d 100% do what you and your partner feel suits your family more. Good luck🤍xx

I would say at the start with both its hard as you're yet to find a rhythm that fits both kids. As the baby gets older definitely gets easier. My eldest was about to turn 3 by the time i had my second and they are the best of friends. She plays with all his toys now shes crawling about 😂 personally would have liked to have the 2nd one earlier whilst he was abit younger but he was a C section baby and i was put off with the wait of 18months between initially, then life got in the way to think about it.
2nd baby has severe FOMO so hard on nap times but between me and my husband we take a child each and have done since she arrived. Definitely easier when its shared care
My SIL was 36 when she had her 2nd so dont get caught up with age, do it when you feel is right for you and your family x

I dont have anything to add except I'm 37 and only had my first in November, 32 isn't old 😂
Hi just looking to see if anyone else has had this before, so I’m 37 weeks and 2 days today and for the past couple of days I’ve not been feeling great lots of lower back ache and some period like pains but also some strange feelings like I feel hungry but don’t want to eat anything! And just overall just don’t feel right in myself.
Then since yesterday evening after going for a wee and wiping the tissue been like a pale pink/yellow colour but not like discharge just watery. Could someone please help me do you think it’s early labour or possibly an infection? I’ve added a picture so you can see what I mean ☺️

What’s your biggest pregnancy cravings you’ve got? Mines Chinese takeaway (Curry sauce, rice, beef and chips) and Strawberry Yazoo 🤣

I am 31 weeks and 4 days, my mucus plug left 3/4 days ago i have not been feeling too well for past 5-6 days now. I have had a feeling something isnt right and something is going to happen! Now baby is all good and active and shes been normal. Last night i noticed clear and none smell liquid (thinking my waters) leaking. Any how i go and ring triage and get told to go in, get there monitor baby and shes happy. I then get told theyre going to do a swab for my waters and thrush as i have had thrush before. Dr comes and does a speculum just looks says cervix is intact and just looking im happy for you to go home. Then asked if i have a history of thrush she then just gets a swab and shuvs it in me that came back fine not thrush i then get sent home.
Something doesn’t sit right with me though. My mucus plug or what i think was left me then im leaking clear water so obviously i am thinking shit my waters have gone but dr’s talking to me like a child send me home gone through 2 sanitary towels (thick ones) in 5 hours (maximum) but apparently thats ‘normal’ because my cervix is normal. My gut feeling is saying go back but i am annoyed at how they was speaking to me. I am 21 years old and i know my body and i know something isnt feeling right at all.
What do i do because i dont want to go back and feel like i have wasted another journey as it really upset me thinking about it but i dont know what to do at all now.

I have a friends wedding which is about a 3hr drive away. Is this cutting it too close to due date to be travelling away from hospital? I could try drive there and back in a day. Not sure what the protocol is so any advice would be great.

Honestly I am sooooo tired. I can’t stop napping (have a toddler too) and I genuinely think if I went into labour now I wouldn’t have the energy to push. Does anyone else feel the same? X

Idk if it matters but I feel like my baby has dropped a bit? My pelvis aches more and my bladder seems sensitive/like I have to go more often. So excited now! Also has anyone had a discussion with their midwife or doctor about a membrane sweep? I was curious to ask my midwife some questions about it.
